Jordan and Kuhn?

I'd rather keep Edge and Terrelle Smith.

McFadden would be a fantastic signing, but I have to think he's going to cost a lot.

i'd rather bring in Lamont Sanford.

Who really cares, not picking out you personally Cbus, but if we sign Jordan it's not gonna make or break the team or the cap.. so why are some so adamant that we shouldn't/can't sign this guy..

I thought that was Fargas ?

I'd like to know the source of the report, for sure. Bush is an interesting guy.

When thinking of Jordan, he brings a lot of the same skills to the table as Hightower (Jordan was fast as a younger man, a return man for the Jets while backing up Curtis Martin, and probably doesn't have the physical explosion on contact Hightower does, but there is more the same then different about them) but ultimately I'm surprised he's even still trying to play.

His FA payday was supposed to turn out like Micheal Turner's did. Lots of IQ and experience with good tread.

I love the idea of Kuhn, but also believe it's be the end for Castille over Smith.

Of course I like the idea of McFadden. A taller CB who can hang with the #2 receiver.

I like the ST element of Kuhn.. our ST has been horrendous, and any upgrades there I am all for.

If Whiz likes him more than Smith, I say bring him in. Smith has played well, but a more versatile player can't hurt.

As for Jordan - I think he could be a good addition as a third back, and I'd be interested in Bush, but it would depend on the price.

IIRC T Smith was one of the few players who didn't participate in the offseason work outs. HHHHMMMM, maybe Whiz is sending another one of his messages.

you know...Michael Bush if healthy (was he not injured in college and his first season with the Raiders) is Brandon Jacobs style runner but with more speed. Bush might be very very nice to see in Cardinal red

Bush is a lot softer than Jacobs. He's runs like a finesse back.

Jordan has about 10 to 15 lbs on Hightower.

NFL.com has them around 6lbs apart. But it's player weights and unless they're in the combine we can assume that numbers are inflated.

When I talk about similarities I see two larger backs with short yardage explosion, but also with surprising long-range speed. Not elite, perhaps not exceptional, just more then a person expects from backs that size.
Jordan became an accomplished receiver, but that wasn't something he did often in his early years. Hightower had an uneven year catching.

I'm not saying that Jordan signing would be good or bad, or that we've got his equivalent on the roster, I'm just saying I see some of the same skills.

Thanks very much!

According to Urbans blog, McFadden doesnt have any more visits planned. We did give him an offer and he will think about it tonight. But we let him leave the building without having sign on the dotted line, which usually isnt a good sign. Hope thats not the case here.

Jordan really likes Lott from the Jets days and a reason why he came here for what he called an exploratory visit. What ever that means.

Kuhn is a RFA so the packers will be allowed to match an offer but Kuhn was given a low tender and we would not have to give up and draft picks for him because the Packers werent the team to draft him.

Edit I mispoke about McFadden getting offer. this is what he had to say in Somers blog. "“That’s what I’m hoping for. I haven’t received a proposal yet but from what I’ve heard, it should be coming later today. So hopefully it’s something that will be of great satisfaction for me. I’m just ready to get moving.”

We let him lave the building without even an ofer yet we do plan to give him an offer? This is why it takes so long for the FO to do anyhing, why not have the offer already prepared while the player is here. If you dont like the visit with the player you dont have to give it to him but at least have one prepared before they leave. Just very unproffessional.

Castille is younger, cheaper, can catch the ball better out of the backfield and contributes on special teams.

But can he block LB's and DE's? In limited action this year he didn't appear to be as accomplished in that area as Smith.
If he's upped his game, then groovy he can do it all better or as well and can enjoy his starting job, but I'd just as soon have a lead blocker who's great in that area. The rest is just icing.

Even more puzzling is that Jordan stated he didn't even meet with Whisenhunt?

What is this garbage? You dont even have an offer prepared for one guy, and the HC doesn't even meet with another..

Agreed...this entire off-season is pretty bush league thus far...
