That's definitely what they're going to ask for, and it's reasonable within budget and for his value to this franchise. To be fair, when Kittle signed his extension in 2020 (highest-value), he was a 2-time Pro Bowler and 2-time all-pro with 12 career receiving TDs. McBride has one Pro Bowl and six receiving TDs.
TJ Hockenson signed his extension (highest guarantee) in 2023, he'd made two pro bowls (in four seasons) and scored 18 career receiving TDs (12 in his first three seasons).
I'm not saying these are good arguments to nickel-and-time Trey -- I love Trey; he's arguably our best offensive player. But these are interesting negotiating points.
