Although I much rather have Nash as our PG.

I am really interested in signing Berry. IMO, the Suns could get by using a rotation at PG with Barbosa/Barry/JJ for a year or 2, or untill Vujanic shows if he will be the guy...

I feel the Suns need to focus the majority of our cap space to upgrade our team in the middle. If that means Signing Dampier at center. Or Signing Martin and playing Amare at center. Either way we would be a MUCH improved team inside. I am sick of the Suns allways going after PG's BEFORE they address the BIG's...

JJ & Barry are BOTH good tall, defenders. Berry is a very smart player, who will drain the 3-ball alot when Amare kicks it out.

JJ & Berry are solid passers, and just might make a very nice backcourt at times when we want to go big.

Not to mention Berry wont kill out cap. I really like the idea of signing Berry!

Call me crazy, but a team made up with reasonably priced veterans to compliment our young core of talent, and still leave us alot of cap flexability sounds like the best way to go. I dont think we can buy a championship in one offseason.

Amare/Vlade?
Martin/Amare
Marion/Zarko
JJ/Berry
Berry/Barbosa

That looks like a FAST defensive team that can score from all positions, has a low post game in Amare, has outside shooting with Berry, two guys that will score without needing the ball in thier hands with Marion & Martin, and has a guy who can create his own shot in JJ...

I really really like this idea.

I agree that Detroit was a rare champion without any major "superstars" on the team.

But I do feel we should copy a simillar blueprint that involves, ALOT of speed. guys who can all contribute on both ends of the floor. With the exception that we do have a "superstar" in the making with Amare to put us over the top.

only problem with that team is there are no real shooters, the Pistons hav Rip, Billups, and Prince who can all hit shots. JJ would be our best shooter, Marion is average at best and thats about it...

Berry is a better shooter than Billups and Marion is a better shooter than Prince.

B. Wallace showed he is a type of superstar. Detroit will run off another, watch.

Not to mention Barbosa can spot up.

Zarko is said to beable to shoot, I have not seen that yet. But I am more impressed with his slashing to the basket & his nice passing. I really like his potential. (Marions replacement when we have to resign JJ?) :D

I do agree. But they dont have a TOP player.

I LOVE a team built with B+ guys who play hard... Detroit is a real good team IMO.

I would resign McDyess before committing a long term contract to Kenyon Martin, their is too much similarity between Amare and Kenyon.

I would sign Barry ahead of Nash, it sounds like Nash may be moved to LA. If that happens I can see Payton being traded to Dallas as well as Shaq. Dallas then will have Devin Harris as Gary's replacement.
