Ding Ding. Correctamundo! I was so #@**&#@ mad when he left to go to those sorry 'skins too! Do you recall how he left the Cards after only 2 yrs? What did he do sign a 2 yr contract or something? I vaguely recall the Cards getting a #1 draft pick for him but they didn't trade him to the 'skins IIRC.

2 years with the Cards. 14 years with the Redskins. I think the Cardinals were the Redskins minor league system at the time. How about Pat Fischer? 7 with the Cards, 10 with the Redskins.

Redskins gave up two No. 1 draft choices and a second-round pick. The trade happened in time for 1975 season. George Allen always traded away picks for veterans. I don't know who Cards used those picks on.

Oh man you hit the nail on the head about the Cards being the minor league system for the 'skins! Pat Fischer oooooooohhhhh I get a sick feeling in my stomach when I think about him leaving the Cards for them.

Ok I couldn't recall if Butz was traded to the 'skins or if he somehow just up and left. It would be interesting to research and see who the Cards got for those picks. Naaah on second thought I am most likely better off not knowing.

Butz also made the Pro Bowl in 1983 I believe as well.
