Fabulous game and I love the way both coaches go for it often on 4th down.

was a really fun game - i think there would of been a MH lynch party if he went for that FG - however, that playcall for the pass was terrible

the 3rd down draw to mack inside the 10 was terrible as well

but mike made some great calls as well

type of heart attack games the old hawks would of lost - I was bracing for it - but now the party is on

Now on to play Chicago. Which I think is maybe the weakest #1 seed ever. You'll have a decent shot at an upset, I think the Bears will be tight.

Man, what a great year it would've been to make the playoffs in the NFC!

he should have dived to at least get the first. What a tool. I wondering if he is still smiling? Remember him smiling during the Cards game?

I do remember that and it pissed me off along with the fake spiking of the ball which of course almost worked because of our sleeping D line. Dropping that FG hold in this game is sure to make him Romo the Homo in Dallas tonight.

Just can't stand the Cowboys and it is nice to see Cardinal like stuff happen to them. Although this was a playoff game which we are never in.

Congrats MO and enjoy the win. I was pulling for the Hawks in this one.

thanks man - the past two years have been great (really the past 4, even the playoff losses) - after 20+ years of disapointment it's nice to have the pendulum swing the other way - I look forward to all the dallas bandwagon making excuses

I know you guys are close and will get to experience this soon - hopefully both the hawks and cards can get in - screw the old NFL guard

If the Giants win tomorrow, Seattle will play at New Orleans. If Philly wins, Seattle plays the Bears.

i'm actually more afraid of NO than the bears - kind of want to see the bears again because I think that regular season game was an abberation - however, if the giants win the next two and the hawks win next week then the NFC championship game would be against the giants in seattle (where the hawks have completely mind F'ed the giants)

however that is way too many ifs

bring on the bears

I bet the Cowboys message boards are losing it.

Especially over the review of the spot. That was too close to overturn imo.

Anyways, I happy the cowboys lost.

Now I hope the Seahawks lose.

i seriously blew a gasket when the guy came in with his foot within the 1 - was a terrible initial spot, but those are hardly overturned - overall I think it was a well officiated game

I wouldn't be opposed to seeing that crew again - although it was the first time i've seen them all year

It was clear he did not make the 1 yard line. You could see the ball never came close to the marked yard line. You could see it in live action and in replay. I was appalled at the initial spot. I had already cheered because I knew he hadn't made it.

What in the hell was that ref looking at when he spotted the ball? I agree he never crossed the one, but a play like that should NEVER have to be reviewed.

He was looking at the star on the helmet. Seriously. That's what reached where he marked the ball.

I think the ref spotted the ball based on the upfield shoulder, not the ball.

gives me shivers thinking of the testevderde helmet TD years ago, where the Ref actually had the sack to make the comment that he confused the football with the helmet..............

Osprey--

whats up with Hasselbeck?

The guy isnt even close to the guy he was last year. Last year, there were two playoff games where he put the team on his shoulders when the running game wasnt getting it done --

this year--all over the place. One great read/throw followed by four horrible ones.

Injured?

Was last year one of those career years you can get, and this year's version is closer to the "real" Hasselbeck?

i think it has to do with him being concerned about protection and not trusting his lineman, stepping up and making throws - he seems to be rushing his reads and just missing thing - or throwing off his back leg

he started the detroit game pretty well, but then took a hard shot to the ribs that left him sore for a while - he got beat up pretty bad that game - then right as he was getting better from that the vikings guy rolled his knee - first game back from that he cracks a bone in his non throwing hand - all injuries in the pocket

the protection has been better the past month or so - but it's the NFL and even with good protection you're going to see some pressure - I think he's jumpy due to all the injuries this year and just rushing things

seattle has lost all but 1 starter on offense this year due to injury - they've also had multiple backups injured - i think the overall lack of continuity has hurt the offense as well - definitely not the same rythmm or trust that was there the past couple of years

MO:

You forgot to mention that Hasselbeck didn't get to practice with his top two receivers all week in preparation for Dallas. I think the announcers said that Hackett was a game-time decision, didn't they?

I think the difference is clear, you're down only 6 then 2 FG's and you're going to be tied. But with 7, you're going to have to still score a TD anyway even if you kick the FG. You might as well go for it, and if you don't make it, they're backed up on their 2.

Just playing devils advocate here, I would have kicked.

But like I said, you can't change that and have the same outcome.

You're exactly right on your logic.
