I don't think he ever felt Babineaux on his heels. If he had, he might have done as you suggested.

Martin had a clear shot to at least slow him down. If he got more than a half of a hand on the tackler (babineaux?) Romo would have been in the end zone and *cough cough* the best quarterback in football....gawd did I really gag that out...Too funny - love watching the cowboys lose at ANY expense.

You forgot to mention that Hasselbeck didn't get to practice with his top two receivers all week in preparation for Dallas. I think the announcers said that Hackett was a game-time decision, didn't they?

WC

that is also correct - jackson was a game time decision and DJ Hackett had a hip flexor early in the week of practice and he too was made a game time decision - I believe they brought bobby jackson and ben obomanu off the practice squad just in case (bit of a difference)

They did bring Obomanu off the practice squad but who is Bobby Jackson?

The 215
was a really fun game - i think there would of been a MH lynch party if he went for that FG - however, that playcall for the pass was terrible

the 3rd down draw to mack inside the 10 was terrible as well

but mike made some great calls as well

type of heart attack games the old hawks would of lost - I was bracing for it - but now the party is on

Congrats M.O. Was a real tough loss for my Cowboys bredren. They looked as if they had seen a ghost man.

no idea - last time I knew he was a marginal SG who bounced around the NBA a while after a mediocre college career at minnesota...........

just something I read - looks like it's bunk though

their inactives for the last game were "WR Ben Obomanu, QB David Greene, FB David Kirtman, CB Marcus Trufant, DL Marcus Green, LB Marquis Cooper, OT Ray Willis, C Robbie Tobeck"

MO:

Saw this in Paul Zimmerman's column on the wild-card games and thought you'd enjoy his comments:

These were the missing Seahawk cornerbacks: The starters, Kelly Herndon and Marcus Trufant. Their fourth one, Jimmy Williams, who would have been their nickelback. What was left was a safety and their normal nickel, starting at the corners, and extra backs composed of recently signed free agents off the street. Can you imagine what an old run 'n shoot coach would have done to this mish mosh? Or what Bill Walsh would have done? Or Jim Kelly and the old Buffalo K-Gun? Spread wideouts across the field and let 'er fly. Forty points, minimum...

I won't get into the ebb and flow of this contest, except to say that the Seahawks showed magnificent courage, hanging in as undermanned as they were, and with neither their QB nor their featured runner at par, physically. Their receivers, who have a reputation as droppers, carried the load, making impossible catches. And that includes TE Jerramy Stevens, the most notorious dropper of all of them, who had the game of his life.

Zimmerman goes on to pick the Bears over the Hawks 26-17 in Chicago, which sounds about right. But I'd love to see Seattle upset the most overrated top seed in recent memory. Karmic retribution for a certain Monday-night game, I'd say.

Good luck this weekend.
