9ers for sure. The last couple Cowboy games I went to were actually enjoyable with their fans around me. Nobody got out of line or overly emotional, was a good time really. So I couldn't really call that a heated rivalry now

My god what a bunch of douche bag responses to a simple question.

Gimme, ignore those two. JW7 is an odd cat and Desert is probably high.

To answer your question: For me it would be the 9ers and Seahawks as 1a and 1b with the Cowboys a close second.

Some teams I am absolutely neutral on like the Bucs and Jaguars. The Rams I look at like a sad little brother and others I just don't like because of their fanbase i.e. the Eagles and the Raiders.
I just got a special spot in my heart for this cat.

I can really hold a grudge. Cowpies have been a .500 team for the last 15 years. They really aren't any threat or rival to the Cards. I hated liver and onions when I was a kid. Still do. Think the Cowpies must have been on TV when I had to sit with the uneaten liver and onions.

I used to travel for my job. Would wear my Cardinal sweatshirt/cap when going out in the evening. Worst catcalls/boos/threats were from the Pat fans the year the Patsies beat the Cards bad during the season. We went to the SB with our 9-7 record and the Pats missed the playoffs even though they had the better record and kicked our butt. It was wicked hard ordering a burgar and fries. They love their Pats and their Sox. Next worst place was Philly---I felt like Santa Claus walking down the street. Most other fans didn't care---including the Dallas fans. Cards weren't good enough to register as a rival or a team to hate.

Let's hope the Cards have enough to register as a hated rival with the Whiner and Seahag fans. We're one up on the 12th man crowd. Need to do the same to the Whiners.

I can't say with certainty, but I don't believe we're even .500 over the past 15 years

Believe you are right.

Cardinals are one of the worst sports franchises in history. Since their origin, they are 511-716-39 during the regular season. We have lost 205 more games than we have won. Perhaps we can change our name to the 'Arizona Masochists'

I didn't have the heart to tally up the last 15 years of W-L. At first glance, the two 10 win seasons (2009 and 2013) just don't counterbalance all the double digits in the Lost column.

The regular season record for the Cowpies: 464-348-6. They have won 116 more games than they have lost---even with their .500 record for the past 15 or so years. The post-season record and their SB titles is another stake to the heart of a Cardinal fan.

Guess I have good reason to hate them for all these years. All that Cowpie winning and Cardinal losing when I was just an innocent Bigfoot baby.

Redskins....Mainly because of the season-ending game in 84'.

The "zebras" handed the game to Washington. It was so blatantly obvious to anyone watching that they were not going to let the Cards win. To this day I am disgusted by what I saw and if I ever see Joe Theisman I'll tell him to his face that they got help. John Madden went crazy over the "calls."

Mark in SC :)

Now that's what I call holding a righteous grudge! Lomax threw for 468 yards, Jetstream Green (8 receptions for 196 yds) was on fire . . . but the refs robbed us to the tune of 10 penalties for 87 yards---with Washington penalized once for 5 yards. Yeah, right. Let's find Theisman and make him forget the sack from LTaylor.

Seattle and SF, no question about it. I hate their players (yes, even Boldin may he catch zero passes this year), their coaches and their fans are less classy than their stupid blanking teams.

Yeah, I hate the Cowboys, have all my life. But, they are not a "rival" as I define it. They are not really in the way to keep us out of the playoffs. The way the NFL is setup now, division games are easily the most important.

lol, yeah man. Cowboys get hated like the Yankees. They're the most loved teams. And just naturally all that love breeds hate. I don't live in the past though, I only care about now... so I don't care for them at all. No love, no hate. We're much better than they are going into '14 though

And I remember our manic Irish kicker scampering onto the field without even stopping into the kick and missing by inches... Lomax was unstoppable in the fourth quarter, God bless EJ Junior :)

I despise the Cowboys but, like a few previous posters, I don't consider them a "rival" any longer. The 49ers are now the most hated. I also greatly dislike Seattle fans, but not the team so much, although I can't stand watching Carroll on the sideline.

I kind of like Seattle fans, I've found them to be far less arrogant than 49er and Cowboy fans but I'm with you on Carroll. My extreme dislike of the guy borders on the irrational but that's okay, I'm a fan and irrational works for me sometimes.

I also no longer view the Cowboys as a hated rival but I don't think it's just because we're no longer in the same division. It's hard to hold on to a good hate when the object of your scorn is so consistently pathetic. They've had a couple of excellent regular season the past decade and a half (13-3, 11-5) but they've had a lot of miserable Cards-like seasons during that stretch too. And there aren't a lot of fans that circle our game on the calendar either.

Detroit. It wouldn't be a Cardinal season without a game vs the Lions. :p

12 games vs Lions from 1998-2013. Only missed '00, '08 and '10.

To this day, the biggest screw job in Cards history. I was in the stands that day & almost sent a few Skins fans to the hospital after that one. Never so angry about a Cardinal loss than I was after that one!!
