That 98 game against the Chargers was a crapfest...the outcome was great but that was hardly a good football game. The Chargers had a QB who later couldn't even start in the XFL and who made Lassiter undeserved millions. After the game was much more memorable than the game itself.

So, a game that put us in the playoffs, legitimately, for the first time in over 20 years wasn't memorable? No one said it was Bills/Oilers circa 1992.

Atlanta playoff and NFC championship games back to back weeks. Drove from Albq for both. Hellacious snow and ice storm, drive home was white knuckle all the way

1988 9er game where Cards came back from down 23 zip

Not to nitpick but these weren't in back to back weeks. We played Atlanta, then went to Carolina, then back for the NFC title game.

The outcome and the aftermath was memorable the game itself was utterly forgettable. It was a BAD football game.

I don't recall saying the criteria is the quality of the football game. The game itself and the outcome is memorable. The outcome is what makes it memorable. You're a glass half empty kind of guy aren't you?

3. Atlanta playoff game
2. Eagles playoff game
1. Monday Night Meltdown - unreal game, and it has been cemented into football history by Denny Green's meltdown.

NFC Championship game. Still, the best live game I have ever been to was the 2005 World Series game and seeing Scott Podsednik hit a walk off HR. The NFC Championship is a close second though.

Nope, not glass half empty but go watch that game again, it SUCKED. The best part was the FG to win it--the rest of the game was keystone cop like...bad QB play and no running game (by the Cardinals anyway). Sort of like a typical performance this year to be honest.
