What were the most memorable games you've ever saw live? Could be any teams you saw. Mine are:
1985: Vikings 28 Eagles 23-It was a cold, miserable day at the old Vet as both teams were still in the playoff hunt at the time. The Eagles took a 23-0 lead into the 4th quarter. In fact, there was about 8 minutes left and it was still 23-0. But the Vikings scored to cut it to 23-7 and on the Eagles next possession, Jaworski fumbled and it was returned for a TD. 2 long Anthony Carter TD's later, with 1:11 left in the game, the Vikings led 28-23. The Eagles drove at the end but Mike Quick couldn't hold a tipped pass in the endzone and the Eagles lost. This game basically got Marion Campbell fired which ushered in the Buddy Ryan era in Philly.
1987: Buccaneers 28 Cardinals 31-My first ever road trip to see a Cards game in St. Louis. The Cards leaving was a forgone conclusion in this week 8 game, not to mention that it was the 2nd week after the regular players came back to work. Fan apathy in St. Louis was an understatement, even though the Cards were in the playoff hunt. Anyhoo, the Cards couldn't do anything right in this game and the Steve DeBerg led Bucs(Testeverde has just signed) took a 28-3 lead into the 4th quarter. To say I was miffed is an understatement. Then the 4th quarter came and the Cards decided to play some football. They scored 28 unanswered points to take the lead late in the game. The Bucs drove within FG range but Donald Igwebuike's 53 yard attempt hit the crossbar preserving the win and one of the greatest comebacks in NFL history.
1998: Chargers 13 Cardinals 16-I'm assuming no explanation is needed here but, yes, I was there to see this gem and flipped out when Jacke made that FG. Watching the fans try to tear down the goalposts was comical.
