From 247 Sports via Sun Devil Source. The naming rights are worth $4 million annually for 15 years for the ASU football stadium.

By Cole Bradley 3 mins:

Arizona State announced Wednesday a new naming-rights partnership for its football stadium with Mountain America Credit Union, which will run for the next 15 years and is worth $4 million annually. It is the first time Sun Devil Athletics has agreed to a naming-rights partnership for its football stadium, which will now be known as Mountain America Stadium.

Good name. Money will help in recruiting especially in the era of the NIL.
I do not believe any of that money can be used for NIL? Besides that money will supporting the entire athletic department.

Don’t get me wrong, money is a good thing but I’m not sure it will help that much in recruiting

Maybe at least indirectly if it helps maintain and upgrade the football facilities. But I have no clue what budget that money goes into and where it goes. Who knows, it could just go into the general budget for the whole campus.

The press release was mentioning how the money would be used for the entire athletic department. I believe it mentioned athletes, staff and facilities but not NIL since I don’t believe NIL rules (what few there are) allow schools to directly pay athletes. That is why there are these collectives.

To me it sounded like it was athletics only to benefit from the banking rights but who knows
