I rented this one late one night because nothing else seemed to be intriguing. I didn't expect much out of this film. However, I was pleasantly surprised at this sci-fi-thriller-pseudo-horror movie.

This was a very iteresting and original movie. I highly recommend this if you like this genre.

from IMDB:
Seven different people, each from a very different walk of life, awaken to find themselves inside a giant cube with thousands of possible rooms. Each has a skill that becomes clear when they must band together to get out: a cop, a math wiz, a building designer, a doctor, an escape master, and a disabled man. Each plays a part in their thrilling quest to find answers as to why they've been imprisoned.

I've heard that the scene in Resident Evil, in the tunnel where the lasers take out 3 of the soliders, was an homage to a scene in Cube. Is that true?

I have only seen bits & pieces of RE so I missed that part. This is the 1st that I've heard of this.

RE is definitely on my must see list.

Yup. And that's one of the reasons why so many fanboys (myself included) didn't care for Resident Evil. Here you have a movie where it's supposed to be marauding zombies and mutated freaks hunting you down, and instead you have most of the cast killed in a hallways by lasers.

Liked Cube. Caught it on Sci Fi a while back then rented it to see it "uncut". Good choice!

If I was judging this movie by the picture i would say it was a movie about a guy who is stuck in an air conditioning vent

This movie was awsome. Someone rented it and I watched it because I thought the name was cool. Probably didn't cost much to make either. I saw Cube 2 just recently, kinda the same thing with a more sophisticated cube.

Recently watched it. Interesting movie. The interaction between the characters was very intriguing, even though I thought they tended to overact a bit.

The movie was shot on a Toronto soundstage. Only one "cube", measuring 14 by 14 by 14 feet, was built. The colour of the room was changed by sliding panels. Since this task was a time-consuming procedure, the movie was not shot in sequence; all shots taking place in rooms of a specific colour were shot one at a time.
