Anyone catch the pilot that USA put online? Everyone is singing its praises - 15 minutes into it and I'm hooked. I'm a little worried about its longevity though. It seems like a pretty niche show. (I mean, they're talking about the TOR network and .onion 5 minutes in.) Gonna watch the rest later tonight.

Pilot was an 8/10. Definitely looking forward to watching this show. It's the first "real" computer security / hacking show on TV. Some of it is a little embellished, but the rest is pretty damn accurate.

Also has a BIG "Dexter" feel to it. (Computer security tech by day, hacker that exposes shady people / companies by night and keeps a memento. He even narrates throughout the episode.)

Really solid and interesting pilot.

Watched the pilot last night. Pretty good, imo. I'm intrigued. I remember the actor for the main character as having a part in a season of 24.

USA Renews 'Mr. Robot' for Season 2 Hours Ahead of Series Premiere

https://www.yahoo.com/tv/usa-renews-mr-robot-for-season-2-hours-ahead-of-122367297485.html

USA is betting big on Mr. Robot.

The network has renewed the hacker drama for a second season hours ahead of it’s official cable premiere, USA announced Wednesday.

Although Mr. Robot will not premiere on USA until Wednesday at 10 p.m., more than 2.6 million people have sampled the pilot thanks to an aggressive pre-premiere push by the network. On May 27, the pilot episode was made available onVOD, the USA Now app, Hulu, YouTube, iTunes, Amazon Instant Video, Google Play, Vudu, Xbox Video, Playstation Video and M-Go. The first episode will also be available on nearly a dozen websites including USANetwork.com and THR.com.

In addition to widely positive reviews from TV critics, Mr. Robot won the coveted audience award at the 2015 SXSW Festival in March. The series was also an official selection of the 2015 Tribeca Film Festival in April.

Really liked this. I wasn't to sure at first as it sort of plotted on a little too long but it has a ton of potential. Anybody else feel like they were pretty liberal with drug use in the pilot?

this was as far away from the USA Blue Skies network as anything I've ever seen. wish we would have had this kind of latitude when working on Necessary Roughness!

I REALLY liked the pilot, but hope this doesn't end up a twist on Fight Club where Mr. Robot and everyone he works with are really different personalities of the lead character.

Damn it! Now I am worried. That is exactly what I told my brother might be happening. CRAP! My first clue was when CS character was yelling at him on the train. Nobody looked at him (at least I didn't notice it).

I loved his lines "Don't make decisions when you're on morphine" and " I'm ok that it's awkward between us"..... paraphrased

Damn good show. Has a lot of shades of Fight Club to the plot - schizo and wiping out credit debt - with a Tron Legacy-esque soundtrack.

But dang Rami Malek is perfect for Elliot.

The end of EP2 is a total WTF!!

Okay... Now we know at least some of Mr. Robots minions are real, but still the big question remains if Robot himself is part of Elliot or not.

Damn good show so far.

Yeah I think it's pretty clear Christian slater doesn't exist and is all in Elliot's mind and Elliot is the real leader of F Society.....doesn't make it any less enjoyable this is by far one of my favorite shows in awhile

I also agree that this is a mix of fight club and halt and catch fire. This is USAs first venture to be more like AMC hopefully they come out with more shows this good.

Yep, blew part of my theory out of the water. Although....I could have sworn in the previous episode Mr. Robot gave direct orders to the others a few times and they reacted. Maybe I am remembering wrong. I already deleted them or I would have gone back and watched them again.

Also, when Mr. Robot screamed in the last episode, I swear there was a guy in the background that looked right at them. No?

I am paying very close attention from here on out.

I've been waiting for the rest of the season to air so I could binge the episodes, but I don't think I can. Loved the pilot / premise too much.

Time to catch up.

OK...so....Mr. Robot did talk to the drug dealer kid but that was a dream. Towards the end of the episode when the one character was leaving the hotel room he said keep giving them to him as if he was talking to Christian Slaters character. I didn't see anybody else in the hotel room. Plus the preview next week appear to have him interacting with others. Maybe misdirection?

OK, that clears that up. It's going to be interesting if the preview was simply a red herring.

I made my wife watch it without giving her the premise. Going only off the title, she was like, "This isn't one of those Star Wars movies, is it?"

No. It is not.

Our new favorite show, BTW.

So after last weeks episode does anyone else think Mr Robot is Elliot's Tyler Durden?

read page 1. been thinking that since the pilot. I hope he's not. It would be a bigger twist to me if he wasn't.
