I thought the twist was really good and reminded the viewer that you are another entity in his head. He didnt trust "us" at the end of season 1 and this episode was an awesome reminder that we arent viewing this series as a regular audience, which fascinates me.

The show in S2 has been really odd for me. Some weird episodes and it just seemed to be missing something this season. Then I liked the sitcom episode and the last one with a twist is sort of saving the season for me. Sooo many questions now that we know we were watching what was in his head. Like why exactly is he there etc.

I can tell you though I absolutely can't stand Angela's character this season. She is beyond annoying and weird for me this season.

Just watched S2 EP 10, it was pretty good. I love this show. That sitcom episode with Alf was bizarrely genius...

i've never done as big of a 180 on one show from S1 to S2. I'm just not feeling ANY of this this season.

I did like the Back To The Future tie in tonight though playing on the radio with Angela in the car and in the last moment of the episode... but that was pretty much it.

By the way. I think Elliot killed Tyrell and what we just watched was Elliot creating another personality in the form of Tyrell. Was it me or did Elliot's eyes flash blue for a moment hinting that?

This show lost me

I was just about to post this. Here is my problem so far with this season. Every season so far, despite not really knowing what is going on has had a logical progression of story telling.

This season? I feel like that is not happening at all. I feel like I am just watching a bunch of jumbled jump cuts or pieces of story. It's all over the place. Yes it's early but it feels like a mess to me this season so far.

Last night's episode was the first time I was interested in a while and was curious where they were going next week.

this week's episode was the first time i really felt invested in the show since S1. it's take wayyyyyy too freaking long to get back to Elliot being charged up and ready to fight again.

Yeah, just watched it last night. That was an excellent episode. I'd agree that it's the best episode since S1.

this show seems like it's finally righted the ship going into it's finale.

Season 2 really, really pissed me off. I kept wondering WTF is going on with Elliot and why he wasn't involved in the main plot. The whole 'reason' he was sidelined--which added up to nothing more than weak sauce authorial need--turned me off. Ended up having 5 episodes of Season 3 pile up before I realized I wasn't interested.

Has season 3 brought it back strong or no?

last three episodes have. Never reaches the height of S1, but the lead up to the end of leagues better than the slog season 2 was.

I also was not a fan of S2. Just finished watching the finale of S3 though. Strong finish. The show is definitely back on track for me.

I dropped out of this show after Season 2 went off the rails. Since I had Covid-19 I decided to finish it finally.

Wow. Despite being almost completely confused at the end? The finale might be one of my favorite finales of all time. It was near perfect IMO.

Do you still think it went off the rails in Season 2 after watching all of it? I loved Mr. Robot and didn't think S2 did that at the time. I need to go back and rewatch it again. I haven't watched any of it since S4 finished.

And since you just watched it, how good was episode 407 Proxy Authentication Required? It's the episode with Vera holding Elliot in the apartment. That episode blew me away and it's one of the best episodes of TV ever IMO. Esmail nailed it.

Was season 2 the season they decided they wanted to pursue other story lines and stupidly sidelined the main character through eye-rolling methods? If so, that's when I dropped out too.

I do. I think the story lines were largely unfocused in Season 2. Felt like Season 3 got things back on track and Season 4 even though uneven largely also kept it on track.
