He’s a technically skilled CB. His size is a concern in this era of giant receivers. He’s tough and will fight for the ball. Ignore the combine numbers. Some idiot had him bulk up which dramatically impacted his speed. There one odd aspect he can’t play zone. He gets picked often, sometimes picking off himself. He seems confused on positioning and how WR handoffs work. He’s a solid pick. Probably starts as the nickel, but will likely be the number 2 corner by mid-year.

Supposed that’s better then getting a starting tackle or legit wr both of who would be starting day one.

This happens, and I would happily eat crow.

Not a fan of the pick.

Was really the only 1st/2nd round CB, I didn't like for the Cardinals, but that is just me.

This is a very good pick. With the additions we've made to defense, CB2, our forever black hole, has finally been filled.

Now I never heard of the Bucs pick at CB just now. Head scratcher.

pre draft: drafting for need is dumb! never pass on a really good player to take a lesser player -- thats how we got Levi Brown.

now: gahhhhh,we need offensive linemen

Pre-Draft Analysis
Murphy has the balance, recognition skills and athletic ability to develop above-average cover skills. He's a ball hawk who reads the quarterback, he isn't afraid to come off his assignment to play the ball, and he might have the best ball skills of any defensive back in the country. He's a physical player who flashes the ability to lower the boom on the ball carrier.

Post-Draft Analysis
Murphy projects as the Cardinals' nickel corner and he has the skills to excel in that role. He also has the potential to develop into a starter early in his career, which is important considering free-agent signing Robert Alford is coming off a disappointing 2018 season and was released by Atlanta. Arizona has struggled to find help at CB opposite star Patrick Peterson. -- Steve Muench

Honest would have put Cody Ford as BPA at that spot.

....not saying that I am "right" but Ford was one of the BPAs for me.
