It would be nice to avoid having to play the Giants at the Meadowlands in the second round.

The Cards could win @ either Tampa or Carolina.

It would be unbelievable to see the Cards in the NFC Championship game!!!!!

The Cardinals could still avoid playing at the Giants if they got a 4th seed. The 6th seed would have to beat the 3rd seed. Throw Atlanta in that mix as well(it's a dome).

I do agree with it being better to be a 2 or 3 seed tho. ;)

The Minnesota game is critical and will likely decide the #3 seed. If we win, we will be a game up on the Vikings and hold the head-to-head tiebreaker. Can't let down for this game.

The better job you do of taking AP out of the equation, the better your chances are of beating the Vikings. Make Frerrote beat you.

Easier said than done. The Vikings line is really good and all AP needs is a little space to get past the first level of defenders (if he gets past its gonna be a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG game)

However we may get some help due to Gus Frerrote (sp?) being hurt this week as well as the potential suspensions coming back for their two stud DTs

You guys are all assuming the Panthers don't beat the Giants in 2 weeks. The Giants have NOT clinched the #1 seed by any stretch.

Sounds like the Cardinals best chance would be a shootout.

i would much rather face a good RB than a dynamic offense like the giants or panthers. bring on the falcons and vikings.

Came in to say this.

Unfortunately, at this point the Giants have a better shot at losing the #1 seed than the Cards do of securing the #2 seed. Whoever wins tonight has a two game lead on the Cards with three to play. And if it's Carolina, they also have the head to head tiebreaker.

I was very disappointed the Falcons lost yesterday. I was hoping they'd pull out the division and the Cards could wind up playing them on the road in the second round. Pass-happy team in a dome, just fine. Pass-happy team in the Meadowlands in January... not so fine.

The Cards need to take care of their own business.

It will be interesting to see what approach Whiz takes in the remainder of the games. Does he rest key players for the playoffs or does he play each game full bore to keep trying to improve the Card's overall playing ability? What do you think?

Um... seeding is important. The Cards still have a chance at a bye, as well. This is not a situation in which resting key players will even faintly have a glimmer of a tiny chance of beginning to cross the mind of Whisenhunt or anybody else in the organization.

I don't care who we play...

If we don't bring our mental "A" Game to the table, we're not going to win anything.

But if we do, we can compete with any team - including the Giants and even the Eagles.

Of course it's a big "if"; but the point I'm trying to make is: "It's all about us and not who we play." We have the physical talent; it'll all come down to mental toughness/alertness, football smarts and poise.

The only way you rest is if you're just happy to win the division and have a home playoff game. If you're serious about challenging for the ultimate goal, then YOU PLAY TO WIN THE GAME!

The only game the Cards should rest players in is the last regular season game against Seattle, and only then if they have locked up their seed.
