It's way early, we could sign another veteran or 2 and training camp hasn't even started but I figured I'd give it a shot.

My Pre-Training Camp 53 man roster guess (BOLD are guys who I think could be on the bubble)

QB (2) – Murray, Hundley

WR (7) – Fitzgerald, Kirk, White, Isabella, Butler, Johnson, Cooper

RB (4) – Johnson, Edmonds, Foster, Logan

TE (3) – Clay, Williams, Jones

OL (9) – Humphries, Pugh, Cole, Sweezy, Gilbert, Cunningham, Gossett, Gaillard, Holden

K/P/LS (3) – Gonzalez, Lee, Brewer

DL (7) – Peters, Philon, Gunter, Allen, Nkemdiche, Dogbe, McClain

LB (8) – Jones, Suggs, Hicks, Reddick, Reed, Vallejo, Gardeck, Turner

CB (5) – Peterson, Alford, Murphy, Brock, Amerson

S (4) – Baker, Swearinger, Thompson, Ford

That’s 52 of 53 spots leaving one for a Special Teams standout or depth somewhere else, I just couldn't figure out where to put that player.

My list has 2 of our draftees not making the roster (Miles and Wilson) but both would likely end up on the Practice Squad. It also has recent draftees like both Chad & Brandon Williams being cut.

We’d be crazy to go into the season with just those 2 quarterbacks. I bet we find a 3rd.

Fewer and fewer teams carry 3 QBs anymore, we will definitely have one on the PS but I doubt we will have 3 on the 53 man roster.

Nkemdiche will be on the roster and is not even close to being on the bubble for a variety of reasons

Care to elaborate? I just think management may reach a point where lack of consistency and durability don't do him a lot of favors, the team not picking up his option makes it even more apparent they aren't sold on him. I definitely could see him being on the team but I wouldn't be shocked if he is cut either.

He’ll be on PUP to start the season and we have no depth on the line. Even though he’s a bust, he’s still one of the best six linemen on the team. Plus, there’s only a 500k savings if he’s cut.

He won’t be on this team the following season, though.

I just think that’s ballsy with all the unknowns

My differences are along the OL, RB, TE.

I think Seals-Jones will have a fight to make the roster and I think Wilson beats him out because he's a better receiver at this point.

I think they will get a long look at the RBs in camp and I don't think Foster is a shoe in.

Shipley wins the Center job; he's a better player at this point. Gossett doesn't make it. Miles makes it over Holden because Holden has had a few shots to prove himself and he hasn't been too good.

IMHO, no way Sherfield doesn’t make it.

LOL, why no way?

He's not beating out Fitz, Kirk, Isabella, and very likely Butler. That's the likely top four receivers right there.

And then if its close with Johnson, they'll go with the draft pick. They would probably like for White to make it because he has been in the NFL for awhile.

And Sherfield isn't a returner. He has a really slim chance of making it.

RSJ vs Wilson might be a good fight, I could see it going either way.

All I hear is praise about Gossett, I’d think he is on this team unless he completely falls apart in camp. if Shipley wins the starting center job then the 2018 draft will officially be a bust, he’s never been better than a below average starting center and I can’t see him improving at his age after a year off due to injury. I could see Miles over Holden but everything I read about Miles indicates he is a long term project and seems destined to the PS.

I don’t think Foster or Logan are shoe ins either, I hope Logan gets a fair shot to make the team though...both guys are good special teams players and I have to think that is a must for the #3 & 4 RBs, but it wouldn’t shock me if one of the rookie RBs steals a spot.

You may be right but my gut tells me the new regime will feel they have the mojo to turn Nkemdiche into a Pro Bowl producer - and will cut him extra slack.

I would add Kevin White as a bubble player. Not saying he’s going to be cut, but he’s no lock to make the roster.

Not to mention that he plays a real part in our comp pick situation for 2020.

Shipley is a good pass blocker, ok run blocker.

Cole was bad at both last year, but he has upside.

Yeah..he has the work ethic that will drive him to be a solid to really good lineman for years to come Imo. He has that make-up in him....and he went to Michigan, so he's a no brainer.

Couple of quick thoughts:

This team has already proven that it'll turn over most of the roster, so veterans on the backend of the roster should beware.

I could see the team looking for an experienced QB3 and keeping him on the active roster. Having a rookie starter and a below average backup is a recipe for disaster.

Sherfield will be gone. Numbers game.

Kevin White is a bubble candidate, but will stay on if he's healthy.

Chad Williams has a chance to make it, but he has to ball the hell out in TC and preseason.

It's going to be hard to justify both Logan and Cooper on the roster seeing as both will be on the back end of the depth chart for their respective positions and there really should only be one return specialist. Cooper has more experience and accolades. I love Logan and he has the best first name on the team, but what has he done to justify being on this team?

The more I think about it, the more I think DJ Foster makes the team because he is a jack of all trades back.

I think Caleb Wilson makes the team over RSJ.

You forgot about Max Garcia on the OL. He may start the season on PUP, but he isn't getting cut. Could see Vujonevich staying on.

I can't see more than six DL on the team. 3-4 teams normally only carry 6 on the active roster. It may look like 7 if Nkemdiche starts on PUP, but as soon as he's ready, that 7th guy is getting cut.

Zeke Turner is safe IMO.

Since PP21 will be suspended the first six games, that adds a temporary roster spot, and you'll need an additional DB anyway. I could see Nichols and Shaw being on the roster Week 1. That'll change Week 7.

The Brandon Williams experience finally ends this season.

Our UDFA class is hot garbage. I don't think more than one makes the roster.

Logan pretty much does all the same things Foster does while being faster, stronger, & younger. I’ll be shocked as hell if Foster makes the team.

As for UDFA, I like Nate Brooks. I give him a slim chance.
