My initial thoughts of this board

The POINT is, it was funny that you quoted a guy on the board who is well versed in the cap, and break out with some bargain bin comments about money in the NFL, shows that you do NOT know your audience.

It's like walking into a party full of Wall Street analysts, standing on a soapbox and yelling out "Guys, it's all about buying low and selling high!"


I love opposing views. I don't like arrogant newbies with a "senior posters don't respect me" complex.

Look at the Redskins fan on the board this week...wonder why he's getting welcomed with open arms? And guess who one of the first people saying he was great to have on the board was...that's right, me. Mr. Arrogant Sr. Poster who hates newbies and wants them all banned. Again, know your audience.

I was hoping to have my ideas welcomed by this board, as new ideas are what challenge our thoughts and improve the discussions. So far, I have noticed an arrogance by those who have thousands of posts. They seem to feel that their thoughts and points of view are somehow more valid due to the fact that they have typed a lot in this arena. I hope that elitist attitude is not shared by all. Comments like "you'll get the hang of this board eventually" only serve to create an environment where the "senior" posters are right and the "newbies" are wrong. Please remember that new posters do not mean new football fans. A little humility and openess to ideas is a good thing in life AND for this board!

currently, I'm hoping Ta Ta Tim now knows more than 10 plays (and that goes for both of our QBs now named Tim) and can carry out at least ten of the more than ten plays and that our defense will show up since Portis is on his home turf this week but this thread is getting my mind of those concerns for the moment. I like a good argument but one of you guys will eventually have to consider this... "the biggest fool is one who argues with a fool" LOL. Cheesbeef is a die hard Cardinal fan but gets really negative because the Cardinals have busted more than one bubble of their fans over the years and therefore he can be seen a little like Darth Vader on the Dark Side. I guess, I'm kind of like one of those foolish pilots on the rebel side flying right into the Deathstar with a Koolaid logo on my jet, oblivious to defeats after years of losing with a stupid Cardinal smile on my face.

This is a damn good board with a lot of smart people on it.

Like every thing in life, nothing is perfect. Everyone is different, and stuff is misunderstood when read over the net.

Wow, I am a relative new poster (under 200) and I have found this board knowledgeable, empathetic, enlightening, and kind to me. I think Donald and Joe and some others have amazing insight to things and I agree on many of their points. Danimal, you are taking things all wrong.
