Coaching staff.

I go with this also - specifically BA.

I read an article (I think it was AZCentral) about when Dockett went down with the injury during training camp. Players started to gather around him, and BA basically told them to get away from DD and get back their drills - that the training staff would take care of him.

Sounds kinda of cold and harsh, but it prevented them from getting into that mentality "woe is me" and just re-focus on their drills. Next man up ...

I'm just happy with the team as a whole but the craziest stat I've heard all year is - that as a team - we have the fewest missed tackles in the league. That alone makes me want to give the honor to the coaching staff.

EDIT: ...and yes, I know the thread is about the most valuable PLAYER :)

Nope... Luv both those guys... But they are not as multi-faceted and consistent as Jefferson...

Jefferson only played 45% of the snaps on defense just last week. He's a good two-way player against a rushing offense like Philly's, but he's pretty limited in pass support.

He hasn't put up mind blowing numbers but I'd go with Ellington. He opens up so much for the offense, given his skill set he is one of the most irreplaceable guys on the roster.

Being the key player on a pretty terrible offense isn't a good recipe for MVP.

I still think you can make a strong case for Catanzaro although not so much yesterday. But he's been huge all year.

The defense has been pretty resilient, consider we've basically not had our pro bowl punter all year, Butler doesn't seem to be particularly good at anything, not great distance or hang time or directional kicking, that's really put extra pressure on the D all year.

Catanzaro on the other hand they never start past the 20 on KO's.

Maybe, but it was weird that yesterday in the first quarter Arians didn't trust him from 52 yards out or whatever. I think that you'd have a better case.

I think right now I'd vote for Foote, just because he's been so remarkably solid at a time when Minter's been a mitigated disaster. I could also cast my lot for Bucannon, but he hasn't made the splash plays yet. I get Rashard Johnson's support, too.
