He's still playing in the NFL! He has nearly 10x career receptions as Troy Niklas from the same class.

My guy Keim absolutely huffing rubber cement in the draft room year after year.
Yeah, but when he was with us he was refusing to convert to tight end. Took him a few years to do it successfully also.

As someone who used to huff ether or the regular in days long gone by, I can attest to the fact that it would be very difficult making wise decisions in that state of mind.

Nah. Kyler Murray will be the best player Keim Drafted. In fact, let's do a quick Top Keim Draft Picks List. He took over as GM in 2013. I'm leaving out the 2022 draft class because I think they should get this season to develop and judge (but apparently Monti disagrees).

Kyler Murray
Tyrann Mathieu
Budda Baker
D.J. Humphries
Christian Kirk
Logan Thomas
Zach Allen
David Johnson
Markus Golden
Byron Murphy
Stepfan Taylor
Hmm.

I think if Kyler continues the pre-injury trajectory then maybe.

However, it wouldnt shock me if Mathieu is viewed as a fringe HOF when he's done.

And Budda will have racked up so many Pro Bowls that people will be convinced he must have been a top 2 safety of his era many years from now. Even if that wasnt neccesarily true.

Solid message back. People’s ability to just admit they might have been wrong would be probably eliminate a ton of the flame wars on the board. Eliminating the call outs would probably do the same.

And again, I’m posting this fully aware that I’ve been guilty of both.

There’s just so much terrible crap going on in the world, maybe we just shouldn’t take the Cardinals or each other’s takes so seriously.

Yeah but I'm weighting performance as a Cardinals.

Getting a franchise QB on a mega contract just cannot be understated. For everything I said before, I firmly believe that the Cards' championship window is open as long as Kyler Murray is healthy. The reason I'm skeptical about The Hard Reset is that you're drafting Derek Maye or Caleb Williams with the hope that they turn out to be as good as Kyler but more consistently.

I really think we need to take the time to see if you can take Kyler Murray and make him more consistent. If his 80th percentile outcome is Kirk Cousins with Wheels, you're in pretty good shape.

...sadly, I reluctantly agree... Had the Broncos given up on Elway he may have never won a Lombardi. as much as we live in an instant gratification world sometimes patience is the best way forward.

We need to remember that Thomas was drafted as a QB, not a TE in 2014. Thomas refused to even consider switching positions for his first 2-3 seasons in the NFL.

If you are going to consider what they did after playing for the team, Hassan Reddick probably belongs on the list as well (granted quite a disparity between where Reddick and Thomas were drafted).

The turn around of myjai being released- I think it’s obvious Gannon and rales saw this guy in action and realized he would offer zero contribution this season.

I’ve got no reason to doubt our defensive minded coaches, especially when it’s the likes of keim that drafted him and VJ that coached him. It’s a shame for the kid, but this is not a forgiving league- if you aren’t busting you ***, it’s going to show quickly

I think he was just a bubble guy who probably would have been cut before the season started if it weren't for his injury.

On the face of it, no big deal. Cleaning house from the last regime and I never thought a lot of him. He always had an uphill battle as an edge at his size. That said, he never really got a shot. I hope they didn't get rid of him because of Ojulari. He hasn't warranted us cutting anyone.

Listening to the Cards Underground podcast, Urban was not surprised and basically said that Sanders was too stupid to understand the playbook.

I must admit listening to him in interviews he didn't strike me as the brightest.

No real surprise with this move.
