I must admit listening to him in interviews he didn't strike me as the brightest.

No real surprise with this move.

I listened several players struck me as really bright then on the field being pretty disappointing
At the end of the day they have to play football and not entertaining people from the stage
We dont have to justify every moves/decisions this franchise makes, they constantly proved to be often wrong

On one hand you are calling out people for imaginary takes they had 6 months ago, and on the other you can't accept you was wrong yourself about Allen, Murphy etc

Both have been meh, neither would add much to this roster, both have been very poor value for their teams.

The concept that signing Allen and Murphy would have changed much is kind of silly. Both are good players, but good players and better players are available every year. Allen's contract is a bit much for what he is. Murphy isn't much better than an average veteran CB that you can sign for small contract.

I completely believe that Monti has hedged his bet against Murray, and that requires rolling over money to potentially move on from Murray next year. Signing guys like Allen and Murphy this year would make that move a lot more painful next year since without a buffer, you're cutting players next year.

On the face of it, no big deal. Cleaning house from the last regime and I never thought a lot of him. He always had an uphill battle as an edge at his size. That said, he never really got a shot. I hope they didn't get rid of him because of Ojulari. He hasn't warranted us cutting anyone.

Nowhere did I say giving up--respond to the post and not your assumption. His play hasn't warranted cutting anyone because they play similarly. That is all I said. BJ still has a long way to go to prove himself at all, let alone as a high pick, but no one is giving up on him yet.

Sanders must have been either a pain in the butt or dumb as a box of rocks. Or maybe both. Teams rarely move on from third round and up this quickly unless this is the case.

Sounds like it was a culture problem. Which isn't terribly specific, but from a new regime, I can understand that.

From what we know so far of Gannon, I'd imagine he isn't enough of a grinder and probably came back after his injury and was out of shape and didn't learn more of the playbook. Speculation, but that's probably the best guess.
