UFA, RFA, EFA or otherwise (not our free agents i.e. Dansby)
List and give reasons why they fit in our system
can we agree to limit it to "Cardinal - style" free agents?
its too easy to put Peppers, et al
thus, my three as follows:
1. Dansby (pay the dollars to keep your own)
2. Ryan Pickett, NT from GB. With BJ Raji taking over, Pickett gets overlooked and Cards get younger at the NT
3. Ryan Clark, S from Pitt. the Cardinal way is to sign ex-Steelers.
1. Larry Foote ILB (30) I'm a prone believer on making any rookie work for playing time. Foote would give us the year to groom an early pick this year into the starting role. Plus it allows whatever rookie we draft to play on special teams this year (if that's what Whiz wants).UFA, RFA, EFA or otherwise (not our free agents i.e. Dansby)

3. Le'ron McLain FB (25 - RFA) Ray Rice and Willis McGahee for the past two years have been getting pretty easy yards behind this guy. I know he is a RFA but FB is one position that merges from one team to another pretty easily. If we could get him away from Baltimore (which I don't think we can) I think it would be the best FA pick up of the offseason.
Really like that pick up as well. They already have his replacement so he should become a FA. I see no reason for GB to tag him or even resign him.I refuse to put down people we dont have a chance for like Wilfork or Peppers. I will only do realistic possibilites.
1. Ryan Pickett - Will get paid highly but not a monster contract. 2 down run stuffer you look for in a NT.
2. Ben Watson - I am not as high on Patrick as others. NE TE's tend not to be a focal point in their offense recieving wise but this guy has recieving talent to go with the blocking talent he learned while doing it a lot in NE.
3. Brandon Manublahblahblahblah - Big fatty TE, who in comparison to Becht is a younger and a slightly better blocker and reciever.
Exactly. I love Kreiders blocking but he's getting older and McClain gets us much younger and with a new contract. I honestly think the impact wed get from adding him to our offense would be greater than any draft piece we can get on offense.Good call, really like McClain. He'd definitely help out on the running game, and can actually get yards as a FB as well.

well then, let's get it done!!
Semi-realistically:
1. Ryan Pickett-Not the ideal nose tackle, but the Robinson/Watson combo really wore down at the end of last year.
2. Casey Rabach-I know the coaching staff thinks Sendlein is the answer at center, but I just don't see it. Rabach is a little older, but his toughness and sound technique would be a huge asset to the line.
3. Deshea Townsend-I'm a little leery of older, ex-Steelers, but I think Townsend would be a solid signing for depth in the secondary if he would sign for cheap. Ralph Brown cannot be on the roster next year, and Adams should only be used as a CB in emergency situations.
