Based on what?Keep in mind he was once thought to be a first round OT talent by scouts before they realized how inexperienced and weak at point of attack he is. There is athletic talent there.

That's a lot of O-lines.
Name the second worst?
Based on what?
The draft buzz on Potter (which is all most of us can go by) was that he had the quick feet and frame to project as a future starting LT, but that he needed to add bulk, get stronger and develop his technique before he'd be ready.Based on what?
our "78 club" - you know, the team that let up 78 sacks and averaged 78 yards rushing a game. what year was that? they were still better than this pile of heaping dogcrap.
The thing about strength is that when you have it, you can compensate for lack of technique and maybe get away with it. But if you lack strength, the word will get around the League that you can get rolled by power rushers.
With enough money they could have Jake Long, Brian Waters, Todd McClure, Ryan Lilja and Levi Brown as according to kffl the first 4 are 2013 free agents.
yup. right after 2011 he was graded as a 1st rounder in 2012Keep in mind he was once thought to be a first round OT talent by scouts before they realized how inexperienced and weak at point of attack he is. There is athletic talent there.
I distinctly remember Charley Casserly mentioning Nate Potter as a guy to keep an eye on. This was toward the end of preseason and was based on conversations with a Cardinal insider or insiders.
To me that means he is raw, but they think he has potential. It doesn't mean that he is the LTOFT, but that he could develop into it. That is the best the Cardinals can hope for IMO, because being in a position to draft a plug and play left tackle means drafting in the top 5 and we aren't bad enough for that.
I wonder if they like him as much as they loved Brandon Keith?

So he is a seventh round pick with underdeveloped technique and strength?Potter is a better athlete, but his success will really be determined on his technique and his strength in handling power moves. If he can develop these to a league standard, he has the athleticism to be starter.

Will fit right in...
Every player has issues inthe 5th, 6th and 7th rounds. Do you want a more technical player who doesn't have the athletic ability to be anything better than average OR would you prefer to try and develop a player's strength and technique to match with their innate athleticism on the chance they can develop into a top level player? I would prefer to shoot for the moon.
Do you think that if he yells "Stupify" at the DE he can freeze him in his tracks?
If so, then let the Tackle That Lived play!
Seriously....it cannot get any worse than it is right now.
LOL what!?
long-time Cardinals fans should know better than to ever say this.
lol, I thought it was a "Disturbed" reference...If you were in my age group you might think it's a Lil Abner reference (Julie Newmar could stupify men with her hips) but I'm pretty sure it's Harry Potter (the boy who lived).
