Potter gives latest squad update ahead of Southampton

West Ham boss Graham Potter addressed the press ahead of their clash against Southampton.

Currently sitting 17th but virtually guaranteed to avoid relegation, the capital club maintain a real chance to climb into a more respectable position come the end of the season.

When asked about the fitness of winger Crysencio Summerville, the former Brighton man was upbeat.

"Yeah, Crys is still training with the physios and he'll be a few weeks, I think," he said.

"It's been a fairly complicated one for him, so, we just have to take our time."

"Everybody else? There's a slight issue with Aaron [Wan-Bissaka], just a toe that he's had to have an injection on, and we'll see how he is tomorrow. Should be okay for the game, but we'll see."

"Apart from that, everybody is okay. Full squad."

Quizzed on veteran striker Michail Antonio and how the Jamaican international was getting on, Potter was positive.

"Yeah, he's good. He's progressing step by step, and making progress," Potter declared.

"He's away from us at the moment, just training, but he's due back soon, so, happy with how he's going."

"As I said before, it's a long process with what he's had to deal with, but he's put in the work and everyone's supporting him, so, it's going well."

With Saints on course to possibly become the worst side in Premier League history, Potter will no doubt fancy his chances at the London Stadium on Saturday, despite the few questions surrounding the first team.
