PHILADELPHIA
Dalembert - $1.6 million (two years)
Skinner - $4.5 million (four years)
Jackson - $4.2 (three years)
McCullouch - $5.9 (three years)
Dalembert went from doing nothing as a rookie to being one of the better centers in the East last season.
Skinner played center for the Bucks last season but will probably play mostly PF.
Jackson was injured last season and played in only 22 games. In 2002-03 he played in 77 games with the Wolves, but only averaged 2.9 rpg in 13.5 minutes. He has never lived up the promise he showed when he was a rookie, but will be an adequate backup.
McCullouch did not play at all last season and there are doubts as to whether he will ever play.
PORTLAND
Ratliff - $10.9 million (one year)
Stephania - $1.1 million
Ratliff is one of the premier shot blockers in the NBA with 4.4 blocks per game. Hie rebounding is only adequate at 7.3 rpg, but his presence in the lane was a big part as to why the Blazers played well late last season.
Stephania did not play much last season 10.8 minutes per game in 42 games, but is likely to get a lot of minutes now that Dale Davis has been traded away.
SACRAMENTO
Miller - $7.9 million (six years)
Ostertag - $4.2 million (two years)
Miller had the best year of his career last season with 14.1 ppg and 10.3 rpg in 36.4 minutes a game.
Ostertag was picked up to replace Divac. Ostertag will give the Kings more rebounding and shot blocking but fewer points.
SAN ANTONIO
Nesterovic - $6.2 million (five years)
Duncan - $14.3 million (six years)
Massenburg - $1.1 million (one year)
The Spurs have very little depth at center. Nesterovic did pretty well last season averaging 7.7 rpg to go along with Duncan's 12.4 rpg.
Massenburg is a well travelled banger who played only 13.4 minutes a game with the Kings last season.
SEATTLE
Potapenko - $6.2 million (one year)
James - $4.5 million (one year)
Swift - $1.6 million (five years)
Potapenko averaged only 4.4 rpg in 21.8 minutes. He is terribly overpaid for his productivity.
James grabbed only 3.5 rpg in 15.2 minutes. He has his moments, but overall did not play well on either end of the court.
Swift is a rookie taken straight from HS and is considered a real project.
TORONTO
Bosh - $3.1 million (four years)
Arauto - $2.1 million (five years)
Bosh is undersized at center but proved he is a good player and a great shot.
Arauto is a big rookie with some offensive skills. He may get minutes by default.
So far they have not re-signed Corie Blount who played 18.4 minutes a game.
UTAH
Okur - $6.7 million (six years)
Collins - $1.6 million (one year)
Borchart - $1.3 million (three years)
Okur is a good offensive center who got a big contract inspite of not being very producitve late last season with the Pistons.
Collins started a number of games last season but has limited ability.
Borchart was injured all of last season, but is supposed to be healthy and did well in summer league play.
WASHINGTON
Haywood - $1.7 million (two years)
Thomas - $4.9 million (six years)
Ramos - $?
Haywood is big and strong, but has not been exceptionally productive. He is still young and may emerge as a good player but right now puts up backup type numbers.
Thomas is only 6'10" but proved to be a solid center, although generally in a backup role.
Ramos is a tall rookie from Puerto Rico. He is supposed to be quite athletic, but he is very young with no college experience.
