The 76'ers are looking to unload some of their 2nd round picks, they have 4 this year. The article I read said they're looking to sell at least 1 but they probably would like to move more than just one, that's a lot of 2nd round picks for a team that is already loaded with young talent. Having that many picks and offering to sell one or more of them kills the value of most everyone else's 2nd round picks this year though if anyone hoped to package a couple 2nd to move into the end of the 1st round. They have the 36th, 39th, 46th and 50th picks so they're all over the 2nd round with 2 high picks. I would imagine they've already tried to trade a couple of them to move up and get just a pick in return but haven't had any luck.

I don't see the Suns being able to package the #32 and #54 pick to get back into the end of the 1st, like some of us hoped they could. I wouldn't be surprised if they tried to do something to get higher than #54 with their 2nd pick though. We've worked out a lot of players who are projected to go in the 2nd round so maybe we'd like to ensure we get who we want and swing a deal with the 76'ers to get #36 or #39?

There's a small chance of finding a diamond in the rough with a second-round pick, but the odds are so remote that they aren't worth trading for. If the Suns have someone on the board they want when one of the Sixers' picks is up, they should just buy it for a few hundred thousand dollars.

I saw reports of Jackson having a promise - if he has one it's not the Lakers, they have been adamant they have promised nothing to anyone.

Gambo is backing off the top 3 promise a tad. He is now saying that there is an outside chance that the promise is from the Suns at 4.

Makes sense. Gambo is probably reporting from Suns sources and stumped his toe on who gave the promise. LOL

Gambo falling for the trap is hilarious.

Fultz and Ball are 1 & 2 and Jackson likely 3.

He reminds me of Michael Moore, who shouted from the rooftops that Trump would both win and lose the election, then strutted around saying "I told you so."

Rumors are flying like crazy right now.

-- The Laker "promise" has been refuted over and over again
-- Josh Jackson cancelled his workout for the Celtics for unknown reasons
-- Isaac met with the front office today, but did not have a workout with us since he worked out in Vegas last week
-- Word is Fox cancelled with us because of Bledsoe and Ulis
-- Rumor has it that the Suns board now is 1) Tatum 2) Ball 3) Isaac
-- Josh Jackson has NOT cancelled his Suns workout--he's coming in on Wednesday

Saw this article from 98.7 FM and it also has the Empire of the Sun podcast linked in the article as well, which breaks things down a bit more. The article lists 4 possible draft day deals the Suns might make, all of them are plausible and realistic as well. It lists info on trading down, trading up, getting rid of Knight, and getting another 1st rounder.

I really like the scenario that moves Knight, I floated the idea before about sending him to Brooklyn where they lack talent and youth but have cap space. They might be interested in and he's done well in the East in the past. It also doesn't cost us much to make the move, as far as assets go.

1.
Trading down
Suns receive: Sacramento’s Nos. 5, 10 picks in 2017 draft

Kings receive: Phoenix’s No. 4 pick
2.
Trading up
Suns receive: Sixers’ Nos. 3 and 36 picks

Sixers receive: Suns’ No. 4 pick and 2018 first-round pick (via Miami)
3.
Shedding Knight
Suns receive: Nets’ 27th pick in 2017, forward Trevor Booker

Nets receive: Suns’ 32nd pick, guard Brandon Knight
4.
Adding another first-rounder
Suns receive: 15th overall pick this year

Blazers receive: Suns’ 2018 first-round pick (via Miami)

Options 1 and 3 are great. Option 2 is awful. Option 4 is maybe slightly considerable.

If the Suns could pull off both 1 and 3, McD would deserve a raise.

I agree 100%, if McD can pull off either 1 or 3 that should be enough to keep him another year, if he can do both that would be amazing and he'd deserve a full contract extension for 3-4 years. Of course if they pull off #1 then there really isn't a need to do #4 and try to get another pick in the middle of the round since they'd have #5 and #10. I'd really like to see Knight go, regardless of return, but moving him in a trade like that where we don't give up any quality assets would be nice. I'd throw in a few more 2nd round picks if needed also, ours and Toronto's 2nd rounder next year.

Tatum? For the love of jebus... we're gonna take the guy with the lowest floor and ceiling with the 4th pick? THIS TEAM NEEDS MORE SUPERATHLETES THAN JUST CHRISS!

If he can really score like Booker and pre-injury Warren, you'd really pass on him because he is not "super" athletic?

Yes, because I just don't see the scoring machine potential in Tatum (neither did I in Warren, BTW). He always had an inch or two over his defenders in college while usually having the speed advantage as well but NBA is different.

He is a polished scorer and at least an okay athlete but at #4 I have higher ambitions.

No Jackson? He must be in there as well. High D effort, good floor IQ, gets boards.

Yeah that's pretty weird... especially Tatum ahead of Jackson. That has to be a smoke screen. The fact they don't mention Jackson at all is fishy...same for Fox.
