A little embellished account of the situation on your part. Even if this is half right, Green commutes the most egregious act, and it's not the first time he's hit a dude below the belt. It's no longer accidental.

So give them both flagrants, but the one with a reputation of cheap shots is one flagrant away from a suspension.

It'd be a catastrophe if Green was allowed to play.

Not embellished except the calling him a bitch part happened AFTER the incident and again, there are very few guys in the NBA that could have done that in front of the refs and NOT gotten a T for taunting at that point in a game.

Green should NOT have done what he did but LeBron threw him down and then quite intentionally stepped over him as to make a statement. Green did exactly what I would have in standing up then to try and stop LeBron. It did't work and then he went too far and hit him in the nuts.

If he got suspended for that I'd be ok with it, but LeBron at the very least should get a T for his actions.

He also should have gotten a T for his actions against Curry in game 3 when he blocked a shot on a dead ball(ok) and then taunted Curry(not allowed). There is a reason taunting is against the rules, it tends to lead to retaliation.

lol... what? LeBron knocks him down and then PURPOSEFULLY steps over him which is a clear sign of disrespect and Green throws his arm to get LeBron off him. The idea that Green commits the most egregious act is a really strange to me... and that's coming from someone who earlier in the playoffs thread said it was a complete joke that he wasn't suspended during the OKC series. Here? LeBron instigated all the way and whatever came after seemed pretty deserved.

Lebron trying to step over Green didn't strike me as a disrespectful act. You rarely ever see Lebron do anything blatantly dirty while Draymond Green is KNOWN for it. I'll side with history on this one.

Just like Green lost control and his foot ended up in Steve Adams's junk to create space.

Frankly, I couldn't care less about what LeBron did. It pales in comparison to hitting a dude below the belt. Green has gone after guys' nuts and has been overall erratic all postseason.

So, like I said, give LeBron and Green flagrants and suspend Green to even the deal

Good lord, man. Did you not read my post where I said it was a complete joke that Green didn't get suspended last series for that? Or did you just see that, god forbid, I disagreed with you and just started seeing red while typing?

question answered. :)

If some dude pushed you down then stepped directly over you, you're telling me you're not flailing your arm up?

Green has gone after guys' nuts and has been overall erratic all postseason.

Agree, but flailing your arm up to get someone off you is different then just purposefully going for a nut shot like he was when he was kicking dudes.

So, like I said, give LeBron and Green flagrants and suspend Green to even the deal

I don't really think either deserve flagrants. Probably T's on both, but that's about it, IMO.

meh... just watched the replay again. I can see where it looks like he purposefully hit him in the junk.

I actually hope he's suspended. I wouldn't mind seeing the Cavs win another game to extend this series another game.

I know what you said. It was highlighting that this isn't an isolated incident. You were implying that Green had hit him accidentally, but based on a behavioral pattern this postseason, that doesn't make sense

question answered. :)

What question? Had Green acted rationally and not hit LeBron, then I'd be shaking my finger at LeBron. But, there are about a million things wrong with hitting someone in the junk.

If some dude pushed you down then stepped directly over you, you're telling me you're not flailing your arm up?

Never in that situation. Maybe it's just me, but I wouldn't be thinking about upward karate chopping a dude's pee pee.

Different topography, same function.

Disagree only because it was during the play, which is normally ruled a flagrant. After the whistle, it's a technical. If the NBA wants to get it right, each gets a Flagrant 1.

Agree to a point, again if the NBA gets it right LeBron would have been T'ed up 3 times in the last 2 games for taunting, twice against Curry once against Draymond.

You said you're looking at history, in the last 2 seasons LeBron has twice been given a T for physical contact against Curry and in the game this year where he got the T, he was warned earlier in the game for taunting. So recent history is that LeBron's contact with Curry is intentional.

Green crosses the line too often I wish he wouldn't but in game 4 i strongly believe he was retaliating for actions taken by Lebron.

Lebron gets away with crap like that all the time! Dude can straight up tell a ref off in his face and not get T'd up which is a complete joke! Lebron started the whole thing he's a big freaking baby because their getting their asses kicked so resorting to cheap shots imo. And knocking a guy down and stepping over him in basketball has long been a disrespectful thing, Barkley after the game went as far to say he would have done worse and Green was composed to not go after Lebron. Lebron throwing Curry around and taunting him is cowardly as well yeah you only got a 100 pounds on the guy, he's just jealous Curry is the mvp now and kicking his ass! It would be like the nba to suspend green and try to help Lebron even more...what a joke!

4th quarter, 8:28, 73 and 95, Lebron drives on Green. Lebron dunks it, foul on Green.

Does the reverse angle show Green trying to reach and squeeze for Lebron's junk?

Like I said...

This is getting ridiculous on the stuff they're letting go. Suns get shafted when two players step over the line. Green gets to do take downs and free feels.

There's always shoving and pushing, but going for someones junk is below the belt, literally.

This was the least deserving of a suspension IMO, but he deserved to be suspended for the crap he pulled before. Do the Cavs have a chance in game 5 now, or do they get ran out of the building anyways?

He wouldn't have been suspended had he not exceeded the flagrant limit, so there's really no debate as to whether or not he should be suspended.

My prediction is that the officials will call the game a lot tighter, which is good for the Warriors, so they'll win anyway.

Draymond's groin shot was the focus of the NBA's ruling, but they paid particular attention to the second swipe too, I'm told. Game-changer.

So ridiculous Lebron got exactly what he wanted as he instigated all of it. Green gets suspended and James gets a lousy tech lol total joke. I expect the Warriors to kick them in the teeth even without Green and now they will be extra motivated. The stupid refs let the Cavs pound on the Warriors physically until something occurred, if they would just call the freaking game straight up this stuff rarely happens.

Green leads the Warriors with a +37 in the finals. Time for Harrison Barnes to earn his future max contract.

Green was my MVP for the finals. I wonder if somebody can steal it from him with awesome performance tomorrow night? Steph? Klay? Anyone?

It will be interesting the Warriors will obviously be fired up. They won games without Curry but Green is a big factor defensively.

it is ironic they fined Lue and then essentially gave him what he wanted by suspending Green and not giving LeBron a 2nd T so he misses a game too.

Just to clarify they did in fact give LeBron the T for taunting Green, not for throwing him down.

I loved Windhorst's story on it on ESPN, he said Green got up and took a swipe at Jame's groin area after "falling down." yep that's what happened Brian he fell down.

Sheesh. Note one of the 4 flagrant's Green has in the playoffs is a 1 against Michael Beasley for... throwing him down to the court.

But I think the initial report is wrong that if James had been given a 2nd T he'd have been suspended too. Apparently 2 T's in a game is an ejection but 2 T's after the game is not necessarily an ejection in the next game.

I guess more McAdoo and if the game gets physical Speights.

And Curry is denying a report he needs shoulder surgery after the playoffs.

Barnes has been money in this series. not star player max contract money but he has hit huge 3's in lots of these games and made a bunch of big plays.

But hes' not Green he can't put the ball on the deck and he can't beat you with passes.

My guess is they start Iggy for Draymond and use McAdoo, Speights and Varejao has backups at the 4.

Does take away the death lineup though.

If this game was in Cleveland I think the Cavs would be able to steal it easily without Green but I think they'll be able to get someone to step up and fill the void his absence creates. I think Iggy is their best bet but that will leave them a little weak in wing depth. The problem without Green will be playing their style of small ball, where Green was the biggest guy on the court. They'll need to rely on Bogut, Speights, Varejao, and Ezeli to give them a combined 60 minutes or so of quality basketball on both ends of the court. Golden State has a true home court advantage with their crowd and they'll be extra loud hoping the Warriors close things out and are able to celebrate in Oakland. Due to the circumstances surrounding Green's suspension I think the crowd will ride Lebron really hard, probably worse than he's ever had to deal with, especially in huge game that is a must win for him.
