And their owner is richer than the 29 others combined. They’ll keep overpaying for minor upgrade after minor upgrade and not give two **** about tax penalties.

The Clippers roster is not only good but deep.

Reports Knicks going to offer Brunson 100 million

Knicks gonna Knicks

Jalen Brunson is not a star but the Knicks need to overpay for a point guard.

They are kind of like the Suns before they signed Ricky Rubio.

It sounds like Jalen Brunson will sign with Knicks.

I haven't heard this strong a statement about bringing Deandre Ayton back.

Then you missed this...

He doesn't say he loves him but he makes it clear he likes Ayton, appreciates what he brings to the team, and plans on bringing him back.

So Thursday 3PM AZ time, teams can begin negotiations with players. July 1 they can sign contracts, etc. It's either July 6 or July 8 the League office approves, or finalizes everything.

I don't think Detroit has the space to sign Ayton anymore.

They may be close but adding Noel to their pick as well as Isaiah Stewart and I don't think they have any need for him either. They still have Kelly Olynyk there as well. So they have a logjam at Center.

They have to be virtually eliminated from Ayton at this point unless they plan including Duren in a sign and trade.

I wonder if the Spurs think Ayton is young enough for their rebuild. He probably wouldn't be good for a tank.

If I were the Knicks, I'd make a play for Murray over Brunson. They have the draft assets.

I think the Knicks are too locked in on Brunson to change their mind now.

Yeah seriously. Isn’t due money in 2 years. Really solid defender. Improves every year. I mean he was an All-Star. Brunson isn’t better than Van Vleet and he’s making $21 a year. Serious overpay for the Knicks.

Btw with his dad there, how is that not tampering?

Why would they pursue Ayton while ditching Murray. There's got to be something more going on with Murray and the Spurs.

I understand it's all about the Spurs timeline. They have a number of young players.

If they feel Murray doesn't fit their timeline they might trade him, get younger, pick up assets and try for an early lottery pick. The same question has to be asked about Ayton although Murray is slightly older.

Spurs fans are saying there going full tank mode
The lottery odds are too flat to tank for a specific player. But it's about time for them to land another hall of fame big man, I guess.

It’s how they got Duncan to. The kind of invented the tank if I remember

So who has salary space left: Spurs, Pacers and Magic?

I don't think anyone has cap space for a max offer.

I hope this means Ayton is returning to the Suns on amicable terms or there is an understanding for a sign-and-trade.

Not currently, but those teams could make the space.

I am feeling like Spurs are the only ones who might be interested, I guess there is an outside chance with Orlando.
