That's just a way to help the knicks try to avoid tampering charges.

It makes a lot of sense to do it that way. Everyone gets their bite at the apple.

Jake Fischer was first to report the Spurs/Hawks talking about a Murray trade and everyone including myself said he was just blowing smoke. Props to him. Spurs going hard for Wembanyama.

Ok, that really makes no Freaking sense.

They were already easily one of the five worst teams in the league, and now they just traded away their best asset to move up in the draft in the extreemly likely circumstance where they don't get the first pick.

There is definitely something else planned here or it doesn't make sense.

They weren’t even bottom 5 in the west.

Spurs have (9) first round draft picks to do whatever they want.

Harden declines his $47 option

I can't imagine a team wanting to sign him to a large multi-year deal especially considering what he is likely to demand. Philly is screwed if there isn't a team option after year 2. I am certain any contract he is going to get will look awful within a year.

They were in the Play In as the 10th seed so not bottom five.

That was a fluke last year.

Talent wise they are bottom 5.

If they want to tank, it would not be difficult even with Murray.

Hawks first rounders are far from the best teams to get ahold of.

Why on earth did OKC not jump on this deal.

It's clear OKC is using their past draft blueprint that produced a roster of Durant, Westbrook, Harden, and Ibaka. They will never be a hot free agent destination and giving up assets for Dejounte who wants to be paid in 2 years will tie up a lot of their cap at the guard position with him and SGA.

It's a good question. Maybe they are sifting through draft picks looking for the next gold nugget.

Dort and Mills: Yes. Yes.

Especially Dort.

Dort would be one of the under-the-radar acquisitions where I’d be okay with them running it back.

Suns messed up not signing Lu Dort as an undrafted free agent who was in their own back yard.

I have a feeling there are going to be a lot of multi-team trades looking at reported movement today.

I wonder if the Spurs think Ayton is young enough for their rebuild. He probably wouldn't be good for a tank.
Or as the detractors of Ayton might say, "Maybe he's really good for the tank...."
