WTF are you going on about? YOU make claims, you get called on said claim, and naturally your response is to get defensive? Name me a team that hasn't flopped in F.A.. Your constant criticisms of the Suns management are the same for every team from time to time. The Lakers are supposed to be this grand attraction and they've failed time and time again to land a major F.A. since Shaq. I just read that Aldridge was not impressed at their meeting last night. They will strike out again this year at the top guys most likely. Because some fans believe the team wanted certain players that the team did not get does not equal the team thought they would get them. I don't believe for a second that the Suns front office ever thought they were getting Kobe.

Maybe you missed the part where I said I don't mind being called out if I am wrong? What facts have you brought to the table in any of your criticisms? Dude...you know how ridiculous it is to claim someone is wrong but not be able to back it up?

Also how stupid is this comment: "Because some fans believe the team wanted certain players that the team did not get does not equal the team thought they would get them. I don't believe for a second that the Suns front office ever thought they were getting Kobe."

Maybe not Kobe...but that hardly applies to every FA the Suns target. I am sure there are plenty of times the Suns think they have a legit shot. Kobe or LeBron for example is another beast. You just did exactly what you claim I do. MAYBE THAT IS YOUR PERCEPTION.

Pot meet kettle.

I'm beginning to think sign Robin Lopez and solidify the center position and then sign a reasonably priced PF.

They gave him more than anyone else could offer, that isn't "taking less".

Interesting. So basically it's about half. Still that should amount to about 6-9 million for 100-145 million dollar contracts.

..and it is correct that they will have that disadvantage every time, it was just by what amount that I was wrong.

Right, but who knows all the other tax laws that effect their income. I'm just guessing, but I'd imagine when the checks are that big, 6-9 million can be made up pretty easily now a days where it doesn't matter so much the market size of the city you play in. Look at Durrant. He's in one of the smallest markets, but one of the biggest stars. He could go to Toronto and not really lose much if any.

He could be a value for the money if he remains unsigned. Robin turned out better than I thought he would as a player.

I'd like for the Suns to be able to keep a center on the court most of the time. I think Len and Lopez fit this criteria.

Maybe if you want to try and rebound by committee. Robin is horrible for a 7 footer averaging 6.7 per game and still disappears for games at a time. Although even I admit he would be another big body to throw in there to clog up the middle.

Somebody investigate the Spurs, there is clearly something fishy with how each of their player mysteriously signs for way below market value.

Carroll signs for 4/60 with the Raptors and Green signs for 4/45????!?!

It's them big ol' women of San Antonio.

I am a huge Dragic fan, but that is INSANE. He is at best the third option on a contending team, and $18M per year is way too much for that.

A figure many of us pegged him at during the trade. Still think that Bled at 14 and Kieff at 8 are overpaid?

I like your David West idea, veteran leader and tough guy who won't break the bank.

If we don't get one of the starting PFs (Aldridge, Love) than signing Amare as a backup for Markieff plus a backup center like Koufos or Lopez would be best.

Plus a third string PG like Ish Smith.

Bingo. No need to jump in this ridiculous FA market. Pick off a couple bargain/reclamation projects and call it a day. We're still a very young team, and our young guys need minutes.

Short answer is "Yes!"

Long answer is somewhat more complicated. Cap going up definitely alleviates some of that.

I still think there are better ways to spend $25M- $30M or so that we have tied up in Bledsoe and the twins over the next few years. To me, Bledsoe is nothing more than an undersized shooting guard that can't shoot, and a sixth man on a good team (unless there is a ball-handling Superstar on the team). Marcus Morris is simply not an NBA player, and his brother is a decent backup big on offense.

You cant even do the math so who cares what you think (the Morri+Bledsoe are not making $30M ever)

Markieff Morris is a super bargain and Bledsoe is underpaid too in comparison to what a player of his level would get now.

This year, they are making $26.5M, $28.97M in the last year of their contracts. I would say my math is just fine. Your reading comprehension, on the other hand...

Why don't you tell us how Beasley will be a star, and how great Robin Lopez is when compared to Gortat. :)

And how Colangelo did not help at all in bringing Nash back to the desert :)

Pretty sure Bledsoe's contract is decreasing over time.

even if it does not change anything that Bledsoe and especially Markieff have very favorable contracts.
