that was truely freaking awesome. I would trade my whole draft for either Bush or Leinart. That throw on 4th and 9 was one of the greatest I have ever seen

WOW

Yea I saw it. I also watched him play like a mediocre QB for 3 3/4 of a game.

While you ignore his dominating play for the last three years...

I dont ignore it. I agree that hes a VERY GOOD COLLEGE QB! I just happen to be in the same boat as Evil. He has had the pleasure of playing around the best O-line, best RB, and awesome corps of WRs in college football. I dont think he is a sure thing by any means.

Leinart is way overated. bush, white and the o-line are the team. Norte Dame got screwed big time by the pac 10 refs.

yeah punt return baby!

21-14.

Go Irish!

Still can't believe they didn't call the block in the back on th efirst block of that return. The guy knew he did it, he even jumped up straight and put his arms up as if to say "I didn't do it". Pretty sure that's why the guy scored th whole USC team figured a flag was coming. Great run though.

You have to be kidding me?

the punt return should have come back, the penalties were like 3-1 against USC last time they showed the stat. There was one play where ND fumbled, USC recovered, during the pileup the ND WR #21 pushed or threw 3 different USC guys off the pile, and they gave the ball back to ND, and called unsportsmanlike conduct on USC for pushing in the pile? We never did see the push.

USC had multiple big runs called back for holds and yet the announcers want to complain about a roughing call on ND that occurred off camera, because they of course work EVERY ND game and have a little bias.

The refs were clearly intimidated by the crowd. And you have to love the ND timekeeper "forgetting" to stop the clock when the ball is fumbled out of the endzone.

Yeah USC was definitely handed that game... not.

Look, you obviously hate USC. That's cool. But that doesn't mean you have to try and ignore reality.

I dont like college but I wanted to follow ND because I like Weis. Thats was one of the greatest games pro or college I have ever watched.

I wish the NFL would adopt many of the college rules. Like pass interference..15 yards.

That used to be the rule until they changed it to a spot foul.

I like the NFL way, it makes it less likely DB's will just intentionaly PI to save big plays, which I think leads to better play.

ditto. You throw Walter on that team & they will have won at least 10 games each of the past 3 seasons too.

You put Leinart on ASU & they maybe would've won maybe 1 or 2 more games total during the same span

There was the misspot on the fumble, should have been placed on the 5 yard line. Plus, the illegal assistance by Reggie Bush, pushing Leinart into the TD.

Also the phantom personal foul.

The ball is placed at the spot of the fumble. The last play, of course, is very noticable. I didn't notice it at the time, neither did the announcers, so I'm not surprised a flag wasn't thrown. Over the course of the whole game, USC got far more penalties.

The ball should have been placed where it went out of bounds, not forward progress. The Bush push was a penalty. Every single post play celebratrion could have been called. USC has displaced U of Miami as kings of "look at me". Leinhart is way overhyped. BTW. Notre Dame's defense sucks. Nice offense.

My Top Four

1. Texas
2. Va Tech
3. Georgia
4.USC

Sorry man, but the ball is not placed at the spot of the fumble. It should be placed where it went out of bounds.

USC commited far more penalities.

actually the ball placement appeared to be correct. I saw over at a USC board where someone had pics frame by frame & the ref was at the goal line & it went just past his right shoulder....

do you have a link to that?

I saw the replay about 10 times, and the ball seemed to have gone out at the 3 yard line.

From what I saw, it did not go out of bounds at the 1 inch line.
