Update on the show straight from the set at the Hawks practice field:

IT'S ****ING HOT.

That's about all my melting brain can muster.

Set update #2

My favorite question asked of me today: "So... the poop's in or out?"

I'd give you my response, but why spoil all the fun? You're just gonna have to watch when the episode airs in January to find out the answer to this bombshell.

The whole Razor storyline just fell flat for me. I mean, if that's the end of it, then it was a waste of space for me. You can't have a flat character arc, then have it go all over the place for one episode, and get rid of the character in the same episode. Silliness.

i've got no quibbles with that opinion.

Damn! Haven't been able to get into season 2. Starting to lose episodes on my DVR. I think that long time off since last September ruined it for me.

Sorry Cheese.

Sorry Cheese.

you've got no reason to apologize. it's not your fault our show didn't hold your attention.

i wonder if it's more than the time off tho... and Stout can answer this also if he wants to... do you think there's other reasons you haven't gotten into the show this year and if so, what are they?

I really loved that first season. So it's killing me that I couldn't get into season 2.

I think it was the long wait for season 2 that was the biggest factor. Plus the first episode seemed to jump so far ahead that I felt like a lot of important stuff was missed. So I felt kind of out of the loop and then factor in the long wait I had trouble remembering where we had left off back in September.

Also maybe because so many of the Dr. Dani's clients ended up being cured in only one episode. Dr. Dani became almost like a "Super Hero Shrink" and unable to do wrong except for TK who was her kryptonite. We all know that crazy isn't that easy to cure.

except for TK... who's her cryptonite. that's classic. i'll have to use that in the room.

and fair enough with the rest of the above. Dani definitely plays a super-psychologist.

The other thing was that I was on travel a lot for work when the 2nd season first aired. So I kind of fell behind right off the bat. Then factor in my wife who watched season 1 with me, never was availble to start watching this season with me. So that put me further behind and also might have been a factor.

Yeah, I guess I ran into a bit of the Super Dani thing, but it's just the way the show works. Mostly the Razor thing is the only part that bothered me.

a couple of updates on the show and my place on it.

We come back January 23rd for Season 2.5 and I think we right a lot of where y'all thought we went wrong in Season 2.0 with 5 new episodes.

And in other news, even though you've seen posts of mine pimping episodes where I got a Story By, co-written (and soon to be a written by credit), but all of that came as freelance work while I was still an Executive Producer's Asst. Well, today, I'm beyond stoked to tell you that the asst. tag is no more, as my deal for Season 3 just closed, making me an official Staff Writer for the show.

Hope y'all watch and enjoy Season 2.5 and if you don't enjoy it... well... keep watching because my job depends on it! :)
