Can you post the symptoms of your HD's misery? Does the system just not see the HD anymore? Can you see it in BIOS? Do you get any POST errors?

I stand by my theory that your HD is dead.....

Stupid me deleted the partition that had the bios. STUPID, STUPID, since I bought the laptop off ebay I don't have the restore disk. I hear the harddrive playing La Cuka Racha but doesn't boot up. It was working before I deleted the partition. STUPID, STUPID,

Your BIOS isn't stored on your HD, it's stored on your motherboard in ROM. Do you get any beeping noises when you turn the computer on......

I might have to drop by this Saturday to see

Ya I get a beeping noise only when it starts up. I thought it was on the motherboard but it crashed when I deleted the partition.

SweetD - you probably wouldn't want to work for someone who deleted your partition, would you?

Can't even get to the BIOS? Is it possible the CMOS battery is dead?

I found your problem.

Its a comcrap!

Sorry couldnt resist I hate comcrap.
I couldn't agree more!!! Thats funny :D

However, the problem is mainstream, not just with comcrap. All the mainstream manufacturers use basically the same brand of hd's, mb's, processors, cd roms, dvd roms, etc, etc, you name it. They set themselves apart by how well they market their crappy products, and how they support them. That's solely why Dell is #1 mainstream, cause they do have the best support and the best marketing out of any others bar none!!!!

You're always better off having a pc custom designed and built specifically for you from a local facility. Or, if you have the know how, by all means, build it yourself!!! I'm not too familiar with the valley here since I'm a newly relocated snowbird from TN. But, you can search for this place. It is called Franklin Micro Systems back in Nashville. They are the absolute best in personally custom designing a system for you, building it, and supporting it locally. Now, what you need to do is just find a local place here in the valley who is the best at doing exactly what Franklin Micro does
