I don't believe one-game playoffs are played to determine division winners, only to determine entry into the postseason. Since we could now at worse tie with the Padres and we have the head-to-head advantage, we are the West champs. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. LOL.

You are right.

No one but the Padres can catch us now. But we hold the head-to-head tiebreaker. If both teams go to the playoffs, the head-to-head is used to determine seeding.

I believe it was the same scenario used last year folks! The Padres won the head-to-head with the Dodgers. Friars win the West. Dodgers took the WC.

you are wrong. The Padres, with their loss, can't possibly have a better record than us and since we own the tie-breaker and the best they can do is tie, we own the West.
