It was part of the Cardinals' "Milk and Cookies" program. I thought it was kind of cool. My daughter brought home a permission slip with the Cardinals logo on it. The kids didn't go anywhere though, but they need the waiver for publciity purposes as they bring a photographer.
Anyway, no mention of the player on the form or on the "Cardinals Charities" portion of their website. I wanted to take the day off on the off chance it would be someone like the Quan, but had to do much to do.
Anyway, the player ended up to be Neil Rackers. He read a story to the kids. He brought Big Red with him and he did the chicken dance with all the kids.
My daughter was more impressed with Big Red than Rackers, but is pretty happy that she got a Cardinals poster to take home.
Anyone else have any Cardinals players come to their kids school?
