I think he overestimated his chances by about 500%.

I think he said 5%, well it's basically just like a kickoff although it's a held ball not from a T.

Given that I've seen him actually punch it through the Goal posts from there on a kickoff, sure he has a shot.

10,000 to 1 seems about right.

No, they couldn't use a tee. It would've been Player holding the ball on the turf. That's why his chances were 0%

Dude, I said it was a held ball not from a T.

I stick by 10,000 to 1.

Oops! My bad!

Okay, I'll give him .0001 chance just like you did. He still overestimated his chances big time.

It's ok, basically we are talking about a miracle, a fluke, not something we'll see in our lifetime, or like a group of super models stopping by my house when my wife just happens to be gone and just happen to want to get naked with me.

Sure it's possible, but.....

All the fans would have had to create a little windstorm somehow. Might have been fun.

Rackers has a much better chance making a 77 yarder than that ever happening..........

Rackers hit the cross bar on a 51-yard attempt against Seattle. No way in hell he can make a 77-yarder.

And the only time I saw him kick through the uprights on a kickoff was in the Mexico City game. (Mexico City has that incredibly thin air that makes kicks go a lot farther).

I believe that Phoenix is the 2nd or 3rd highest home stadium above sea level in all of the NFL. Jacksonville is the lowest at 4ft above

That's pretty scary that Jax would be below New Orleans...

He's made a 65 yarder in practice in Cards stadium.

And he'd get a running start at it like a kickoff, not like a FG (which he's already hit a 65 yarder in our stadium).

It wasn't going to happen, but there was enough chance of it happening that it would have been a great feeling to watch....and with the strage way the final two minutes were going...man, it might have even happened. Just because things were going that weird that a thousand to one shot might have hit that time. What are the odds of two center exchanges being fumbled and lost within the span of 25 seconds?

Yeah, but there's a still a huge difference between the 1000 ft altitude of Phoenix and the 7000 ft altitude of Mexico City.

I was watching him before the half. He hit from 60, but was short from 63. 75, no chance. The ending left my stomach in knots.

In a game field goals have to be kicked at a high enough angle to not get blocked. On the free kick there would be no line in front of him, so he can kick it at a much lower angle and get much more distance. Not saying he'd make it, but to base it on a field goal attempt isn't really accurate.
