the nets should not be so bad defensively. kidd is a good defender, jefferson is an excellent defender, and boone/carter are at least acceptable. they just don't have it anymore. they, much like the bulls, need a low block scorer.

We made the Nets look OLD tonight.

Amare is a freakin BEAST.

Go Strawberry

Piat is a scrub

Sean Marks is not our secret weapon.

Still mad at Kerr about that one...

The Nets looked pretty bad. I don't know how they've won 18 games. They aren't a very good jump shooting team and they don't rebound well.

They're just old and tired. Time to rebuild that team.

If diaw can put up 14/10/6/2 for 75% of the games left this season I will eat my own crap for 48 hours.

Nobody can achieve that feat! Not even LBJ. I bet you can feel safe now.:D

by feat, I thought you meant eating one's own crap for 48 hours which sounds correct, but I thought it was weird that you said not even Lebron can do it like he's really good at eating his crap or something.

Nets front court are athletic and good shot blockers but they do not play physical... if anything its the type of front court Amare and Diaw can take advantage every time.... they are rookies.

But still Diaw is a player that relies heavily on confidence... so its good.

For all the Amare bashing that seemingly has been going on this year he is averaging 23ppg and better than 9 rpg and better than 2 bpg in just slightly over 31 mpg which is enormous and all that getting only the 3rd most FGA on the team.

Without his 13 november games it is even better:

24.5 ppg, 9.6 rpg, 2.32 bpg and even 1.5 apg :) shooting 60% in just 33.6 minutes

Almost better than his 2004/2005 numbers

playing our style and playing center he should average 12-13 rebounds, not 9.

11 would be probably more realistic considering Amare is not a great rebounder and only 5 players in the league average 12+ rpg.

And thats with us blatantly realizing how much MORE he needs the ball. I would say, from Amare's point of view, his future plans dont revolve around Phoenix. He needs to be on a team full of scrubs and lock down 40p per 48m

Because he CAN (ifhestaysoutoffoultrouble)

Very good numbers, although i'm not sure where your stats came from. I see him taking 14.4 FGA, tops on the team. LB has taken more total shots, but he has also played more games than Amare.

Amare is a potent offensive weapon with an injury history that indicates he cannot be expected to be a plowhorse. I like the way his minutes have been limited, perhaps he should be playing even less to conserve himself for games that matter. The suns have a big investment in amare for years to come. The "feed the beast argument" would increase the chances that amare would be too fatigued in the post season and perhaps shorten his career by reinjuring the knee. Amare is the only one on the "list" of top scorers/48 that has had a microfracture procedure. I say "keep the beast healthy", his time will come in april.
