I don't understand what some Suns fans thought would happen after Kerr pushed D'Antoni out the door. He was a much better coach than Porter will ever be. I'm convinced Nash would have never won two MVPs without D'Antoni. I'm thinking more and more, D'Antoni made the players and not the players made D'Antoni. I think this season the fans are getting a glimpse of that possibility. Did anyone really think than Porter was going to win a Championship in Phoenix?

The Suns are a lesser team without D'Antoni. Porter's team cannot play offense or defense. Unless a miracle happens, I do not see the Suns making the playoffs.

I had my doubts, but tonight a bunch of scrubs called the Knicks had 82 pts at halftime!

I think D'antoni made it clear to Kerr he wasn't open to suggestions like taking on a defensive coach. They butted heads and parted ways mutually was what it sounded like. Suns defense schemes sucked under D'antoni when we had to lock a team down at the end of close games.

7 seconds or less circus ring leader left town but the players are still here and capable of doing it. D'antoni isn't running around out there so WTH is the problem. Just coach in some defense and rebounding and let's go again.

Sigh. Amare, what the heck are you doing?? Can't even keep count of your technicals?

I have never seen anyone expend so much energy complaining about not getting calls. Well, Kobe does it a lot too, but he doesn't get kicked out of games.

If he expended half that energy getting offsv rebounds, he'd at least be 2/3 of a complete player.

Um...I thought that's what Porter was doing now. Results are the same except we now lose with fewer points scored. I'm sure these professional athletes have been coached on defense and rebounding. It's another thing to have the desire, motivation and dedication (aka "hustle") to do it.

I'm with you. I mean seriously, you guys are too quick to call this team a failure. It's just one loss. lol. I mean really come on. This team has the greatest center/entertainer of all time lol. Personally, I'll wait at least 'til after the 2011 season to pass judgment on Porter's system lol.

I don't know. I'd like to stay optimistic, too. But in my recent memory, teams that try new things or add new pieces will still find their rhythm pretty quickly if that team is destined to be good. Ex: Lakers, Celtics, Suns 05-06.
Meanwhile, teams that take a long time to gel together never quite get there. You may see improvements but there will be no pleasant surprises for the fans.

Who am I kidding? This is my team and I will root for them even when they suck. Still, it's a sad day when you are forced to acknowledge what you refused to for the last two years - this team is just not that good anymore. :(

Oh well. Have a good night everyone, and I hope we get to enjoy quality game some time soon.

Porter won't last the season at this rate.

Blame all around at this point. D'Antoni for his stubborn unwillingness to take culpability in the Suns defensive problems. Kerr for his piss poor drafting, trading, and anything else relating to general managing. Sarver for green lighting it all.

Yup, the last couple games have been a solid dose of reality. I was cautiously optimistic during pre-season with the so called focus on defense but right now it just looks plain horrible. At least in previous seasons we had the offense to somewhat make up for it but this year we've taken a giant leap back on that side of the court as well.

I'm with bigfoot though, I'll still support the team, even if it bloody hurts to do it.

To be fair DeAnna he went off and around about everyone on the floor not just Nash. This team defense is worse than Dantonis at this point and we can't score near as well its really sad to watch Kerr, Porter, Sarver F$%# this team up!

Well, it's no secret that whomever Nash is guarding usually has a career night.

Yeah, but what about the porter defense that limits penetration into the lane? What happened, this team gives up tons of points in the paint as well. When eddie house plays defense for the celts, you wont see guys waltzing down the lane for a finish, even though his is definitely a lesser defender than nash.
