The Nets play at the Suns tonight with a 7 p.m. Arizona start time.

Personally I am going to try to keep my focus on SG John Jenkins (a high waiver claim) and former D-League PG Phil Pressey on a ten day contract.

However, it is difficult to ignore the significance of this game in regard to the lottery.

These may be the draft picks in play for the Suns. See the link below.

Chandler and Len are projected to play tonight. The Suns will start Chandler Humphries, Tucker, Booker and Price.

What does Watson see in Humphries?

And wow it is hard to believe how much worse we got since the ASG, it was indeed possible.

At least Humphries contract is not guaranteed. I'm trying to figure out what happened to Leuer. Please tell me Weems contract is not guaranteed next season because I believe it is.

After an energetic first qtr the Suns are now back to following the script. Down 21 at half.

10 rebounds in the 1st half?

Of course, as TC said, they were put-backs of his own missed (0-9) shots. :)

With 3 Power Forwards, he is the odd man out. Just as when Markieff returned to the rotation before being traded.

Man, do I hate watching the Suns in their high school (gray T-shirt) uniforms.

The announcers say John Jenkins will play tonight. It may be a small thing but I'd like to see him play.

Man Booker has been struggling big time lately. I wonder if it's fatigue from having played so many minutes since the new year started.

May be a good time to possibly reduce Booker's minutes some and bring Knight back and showcase Knight to possibly increase his trade value.

What makes you think he's healthy? And if his ankle or sports hernia isn't fully healed, he's not going to be raising his value.

Didn't watch the game but looking at the box score. Humphries with 10 rebound in 10 minutes. Wow.

I do wonder what McD ever saw in Weems. He's not worth the veteran minimum, even that would be an overpay. Once his contract with the Suns retire, I would wager that he never plays for another NBA team ever again.

I don't know, I just assume that they may be being extra cautious with his ankle since it's a tanking season and perhaps they wanted to see more Booker or something. But yea maybe if his ankle is really that bad then Jenkins, the journeyman veteran is probably our next best option.

I think it's more the sports hernia, isn't that the reason he went for a second medical opinion?

I was one of them. I thought it was hope driving me, now I suspect it was desperation.

I think there was hope that the Suns scouts got it right when he played overseas. Personally, I don't remember knowingly having watched him play in the NBA.

Yeah, I had no knowledge about him except what surfaced after we signed him.

I was somewhat excited about Weems as well, mostly because of my recollections of his time in Toronto. Rose colored glasses i guess.

haha... I don't blame you. I just always find it a little head-scratching when some peeps here get excited about guys who bombed out of the league and come back from Europe. There was a lot of excitement about Josh Childress back in the day for some reason also.

It's not exactly the same but that comment brought to mind the MJ Fox speech in The American President. That line about the people being so thirsty crawling through the desert that they'll drink the sand if they can't find water. I think that's where we're at, we're stuck in the desert and Weems was just another glass of sand.

So do you watch Bear Grylls? That would be cool because I watch him too. Some of the things he does (even with precautions) is very dangerous.

I had to google him. I don't watch TV shows for the most part. I watch my TV frequently but it's usually basketball or something on Netflix so I'm out of touch with today's programming. Even after googling I'm not quite sure what the connection was other than the obvious, survival.
