Nice work! For the Cards picking in the top 5, if they can't get either Luck or Kalil, they should trade out of the top 10 and try to pick up Upshaw/Jeffery/Coples in the mid-teens. Martin is more than likely going to be a RT in the NFL, he doesn't seem to handle the speed rush well, and we don't want another Levi Brown on our hands. Good Mock, nonethless :)

Good Mock

Love the Kalil pick. Luck, Kalil and Blackmon are the only guys worth their pick position, if we dont get one, we need to trade back. Last thing I want to do is reach on a LT (anyone not named Kalil).

I can dig it. The Colts drafting Luck and keeping him is huge for us because it means Miami takes a QB and pushes Blackmon/Kalil down to us (although i think Indy trades the pick for a few a farm)... Jeffrey is inconsistant because of his QB situation, he will go before Floyd no doubt. Nice work though.

No way Indy trades away Luck..... rumor has it Manning has been mentoring the kid the past couple of years..............
Manning, consumate team player and company man...prepping his replacement.

Luck to Indy was a lock in pre season game one.

Good draft, thanks for posting it as Card fans the timing certainly is right.
I like the OT Kalil pick and sure hope he is there when we pick.

If Kalil is gone, the Cards should look at trading down. I can't see a way it could happen but I would love for the Cards to get Kalil and Ta'eo, the ILB from Notre Dame.

Manning will be a top 10 QB for the next 4-5 years. The value Indy could get for a player who has never played a down in the NFL would be enormous. I think they trade it and surround PM with young talent for another SB run.

I think Jeffery and Upshaw are too low but you have a lot of guys on there I really haven't seen.

Jeffery has fallen off because their QB stunk and had other issues so he's gone and the replacement isn't very good. Then Lattimore got hurt and now everyone just doubles Jeffery.

Upshaw I agree he's not blazing fast guy I think he'll actually probably play inside in a 3-4 like the Cards play more than outside, but he's still a pretty good player to go that late in the first round.

I do like Kalil quite a bit he'd definitely be a better pick for us than Martin because he's a better pass blocker.

hard to guess though we have no idea if Whiz is still the coach.

I am hoping we fall to the 10 to 15 range. Would love Burfict on this team.

Possibily but for who? It wouldnt suprise me that if they get Luck that PM could be the man on the trading block. If they could get a couple of ones for him they could rebuild that team in two years, like they did when they drafted that other QB?

Gross. He hasnt even been a good college player this season. He is living off his play from 2 years ago. The guy has regressed in a big way, hasnt shown a will to improve and is an idiot on the field.

I think he is going to be a major bust in the NFL.

The INT on Barkley in the USC game was all I needed. We need a SILB to go with D-Wash in a bad way.

Plus.... I have not agreed with you once. That makes my opinion on Burfict even more concrete IMO.

I think some idiot will give them 3 #1's for Luck. Seattle? Wash? Miami?

It slays me how personal some people take differences of opinion.

But seriously, he has regressed, even our local radio guys who drool over ASU guys have talked about how poorly he has played this season. Add in the fact that his a complete knucklehead... I dont see a guy who is worth a 1st round investment. Yes, he is an athletic freak, but athletic freaks who struggle on the field and make dumb plays are guys you take in the 3rd round or later. He seems like a huge risk as a 1st rounder.

You might be right, but i'll take two and build around a young QB. If of course I was convinced that he will be what most think he'll be. Hell if Palmer was worth a one and a two (at the very least) Peyton might get you three ones.

Yup and I actually think Shelly Lyons will make a better pro. He doesn't disappear like Burfict.
Brandon Magee is better than both, in my opinion. Burfict has all the potential in the world, but he takes his athleticism for granted and doesn't focus 100% of the time. Once a tem like Baltimore takes him and he has a leader like Ray Lewis pushing him, Burfict will be a beast! Erickson isn't the type of coach to control a player like Vontaze, so that's why he's so undisciplined, much like the rest of the team. He'll be a top 10 LB in the NFL 'IF' he gets the right coaching and leadership.

I think there's a good chance he goes for even more than 3 #1's. Based on his current rep, I'd expect a trade that exceeds both the Ricky Williams deal and the Herschel Walker package. OTOH, if Oregon dismantles Stanford perhaps the price tag will drop a bit.

Burfict is the 6'5" QB with elite atheltic ability and arm strength but no accuracy. He's the WR who runs a 4.3 with a 40 inch vertical but hands made of stone... He is missing the essentials of the position, he has no instincts, consistently over pursues, he misses tackles and has horrible form. He plays with poor technique when he is in coverage and even worse trying to take on a blocker. Not saying he can't be successful but he needs to be in the right place. I wouldn't touch him in the first round. Terrible intangibles as well.
