I think a lot depends on who they think they can get later on in the draft. DL is the deepest position, so they could indeed go CB, C 1 and 2 or visa versa. That extra 3rd would be a big help again.

Call me crazy but if we can get another edge rusher, I think that's the way to go. Denver emphatically demonstrated how amazing it is to have a big time pass rush.

I don't want to draft anyone who's parents were ******** enough to name their kid "Jihad".

That was stupid.

The term jihad means something like strive to serve God. Meaning like to do gods work on earth

It doesn't mean commit terrorist acts or anything to do with that its been perverted

He's a heck of a player by the way

at one time it had the meaning of..."striving to maintain the religion".. however in modern times it has developed the meaning of "Holy war"

I cannot say it is right... just curious......... do you think the swastika stands for genocide and hatred??........ Native Americans and pagans have used it as a symbol for the cycle of life for thousands of years.......... I guess if Nazis can tarnish a symbol from one religion,...then acts from another religion can tarnish a word of their own?

Overvaluing a position of need is the same as reaching. Theres no scenario where Kelly is the true BPA. BPA doesn't have to be reasoned or explained like "yeah but C is really the last piece of the puzzle, and Kellys the best guy so....". Still a reach. Would I be mad? No, I like Kelly. But a reach is a reach.

I say again, trade back into 2nd round and take Kelly. That's a perfect scenario.

Alexander absolutely has a shot to make it to #29. His height (5'10) is really hurting him with a lot of teams. Ive seen multiple mocks with him going as late as early 2nd. Hes not the #1 CB per rankings. That's Ramsay, then Hargreaves is generally considered #2.

However I feel Mack is a clear cut pro bowl CB. His play, passion and the way he speaks just reeks of star.

As for Chris Jones - that's not a judgment you can make. He made the effort to be a borderline 1st rounder, that's not easy. So whos to say he'll washout in the NFL? Ive heard of some issues with Jones, but his talented is undeniable. We have as about a strong a lockeroom as a "problem guy" could ever need. Also its not like hes might 1st choice. We're talking 6 deep at this point. Id say anything after Bullard I start aggressively trying to trade back.

How can you say that valuing a position over others is reaching? Different positions mean more in different schemes and offenses. If Arians and Keim value the C position over others and feel that Kelly is high caliber player, he is not a reach to them. The Cardinals do not care about how mock drafts rank players...they don't rank the players according to them. They rank players according to their scheme and how they prioritize their positions. A player being a "reach" is only about one person's perspective vs another's.

Re: Alexander, do you really believe that in a DB starved NFL, that only 3 DBs are going in round 1? Not likely. Alexander, Ramsey, Apple, and Hargreaves will go in round 1.

Re: Chris Jones...the biggest issue with DL coming out of college is work ethic. Lazy guys in college who win with power get worked over in the NFL. That is why so many DL that are drafted high, bust. Jones shows too many of those qualities to warrant a 1st round pick. I can definitely say that because I have experience in football, knowledge of the draft process, and have a decent understanding of how guys fail to transition to the NFL.
