nah... like everyone else has mentioned, we actually handle the bad teams. The problem is we just look like one too often when we play the good teams.

So, here's one thing that can give me a little more hope with Kyler. We potentially have one more big game for hopium's sake in us this season. If we keep taking care of business against the bad teams in the league and end up 8-7, going into the Rams game and say, Seattle loses it's next two, that would mean we're 8-7, Rams are 9-6 and Seattle's 8-7, meaning we'd still have a shot at the playoffs. Now, if Kyler came out and played well and we we beat the Rams, that would be his first legit "must win" game of his career and at least keep playoff hopes alive, while giving me some shred of hope that with a much better supporting cast, we can get to the playoffs next year with Kyler.

Otherwise, we're basically looking at pre-season games that have no impact or pressure on them. They're kinda no win situations. Kyler's shown he can beat bad teams so to win two in a row against them the next two weeks doesn't really tell us anything we don't know. And if he loses one of them, then we know this is probably the worst of his second half swoons.

would be fun to hold out hope though if we win the next couple games and the Hawks lose the next couple. Would at least give us another "show me" game with some stakes against LA.
If all of that happens, I expect us to lose by 10 points. I found it a fluke that we finally beat them and I don't trust this staff at the moment to win a must win game.

Man these past 3 weeks have killed my morale for this team. At least I have Liverpool.

I think the last three weeks hurt because they just confirmed what every one feared deep down… that Kyler can’t ever win a big game and just collapses down the stretch in second half of seasons with a shot at the playoffs.

That happens in his first chance to get us into the playoffs? Okay… it was only his second year and gotta learn to walk before you run. And he still improved and looked awesome for a chunk of the year. Learning experience!

That happens in his second chance at the playoffs in his third season? Well… I hope this isn’t a trend, but the end of this season was even worse than the last one. That’s pretty troubling.

The next season he just not good from the jump before getting injured, partially derailing the next season, where he’s got excuses about coming back from injury.

But then in his third chance at the postseason, he comes out and falls flat on his face again, going 0-3 and really looking pretty awful doing so…

It’s confirmation he is what he is… not good enough for any team who wants to be a playoff participant year in year out… or even at all.

That’s why these 3 games hurt so much. It’s the realization that we’ve wasted 6 years of Cardinals football and likely are stuck with at least one, if not two more just like the rest.

Yeah.
To regrow any faith in kyler it has to all come down to week 18...the chips fell just right, beat the niners to win the division and go to the playoffs....win that, get the banner, and not get embarrassed in the wild card....
But even if we manage to get in the WC, if he looks like he did last time... I'm beyond totally out.

Eh… if by some miracle we win out, beating the Rams on the road in a huge game and pull off a win and in Niners game, that’ll buy a decent amount of goodwill from me, even if we get our asses handed to us in the Wild Card game. I probably won’t be real happy in the moment, but that kind of end to the regular season will say something to me, especially because it’ll show he had been able to turn it around after this awful 0-3 stretch.

That’s showing at least a little resiliency and stones. Enough for one more season of hopium, anyway.

Actually, if all that went down we’d be division champs… which would mean a home Wild Card game. Getting a 2021 wild card/Rammed up the tush performance again in the first round at home would be a tough pill to swallow.

I can see that.
I don't expect them to win in the playoffs this year. Although anything can happen.
But I certainly don't expect to see our franchise QB playing like a third string rookie and throwing tantrums on the sidelines.
That entire situation was a very bad look for kyler.
Lose by 20...but play your ass off and never give up.

No argument here.

There ain’t no way in Gods creation we are making the playoffs.

I’ve accepted the fact Kyler will be here next year and we will continue to build around him, probably to no avail.

I am amused when posters claim this team doesn’t have enough talent but if we lose 3 out of the last 4 Gannon should be on the hot seat.

And finally, starting the season I hoped for meaningful games come December. Well we got to the first week of December until the dream ended. I guess we can consider every game we play as meaningful until the next loss.

Sigh……

They wouldn’t be able to put us on Peacock fast enough.

Uhh, that’s not how it works.

Unless Kyler throws like 5 pick 6s, Gannon definitely needs to be re-examined if we loses to this Cards team. You are acting like the dude is not the HEAD COACH. I like Gannon a good bit, but it wouldn’t just be an already worse look on Kyler, it would be a bad look Gannon.

He inherited this QB and his ridiculous contract. What can he do?

The defense is playing way above it's level, we are the least penalised team in the league, the culture is strong, he's elevating sub par players like Roy Lopez into competent starters. I don't see what more he can do as a HC.

The only way we lose this game is if the offense stinks again, which will be on Kyler again.

He could have not taken the job since he knew what he was getting into. Be for-real.

The HC isn’t the DC. He coaches the entire team. It is his job to win games at any means necessary.

Cannot believe you are trying to give a HC a pass if he loses to a 3-10 team at home. That is absolutely absurd. You are treating him as if he’s a damn fan in the stands. Have higher standards than that.

Wait, not taken the job? lol Be so for real. It gets mentioned on here ad nauseum, that there are a finite amount of GM and HC jobs available in the NFL and there are zero guarantees that a 2nd opportunity will come along. Does the name Ian Cunningham ring a bell? lol He reportedly said no to AZ, because he wanted Tennessee...and 2 years later he's still an assistant GM in Chicago, with a team that looks worse, not better. How are his prospects now?

I think Gannon is a good HC. If Kyler loses to this Pats team there's only one person needs to go.
This statement is kind of wild.

You might be the first person i ever seen absolving a Head Coach of blame of potentially losing a game, especially since the opposing team is terrible.

I believe I never seen that before.

The Cards did it to me again, I have no excitement to watch NFL today. I have a bye in Fantasy so no red-zone and I have a feeling that this team is going to quit in Kyler and lose to NE @ home.

I have to wait until Jan 1 to see the best QB in AZ play again....

Stick around you will see it get way crazier than that.

You have people advocating for Justin Fields and Clayton Tune.
