I saw Derek Carr face one defense all year that had more than a dusting of NFL quality prospects and that defense slaughtered him.

I do not think he is a 1st round pick, I dont think he is a first two days pick. A guy who racked up yards in a cream puff conference, against guys who will never play in the NFL.

Pass on Carr, draft a safety or trade down. Hate how people say Cards are in win mode now. 90% of NFL teams are in win mode now.

so...does anybody know if Tom Brady is planning to retire this season??
I keep hearing we only have Palmer for another year or two at best...
Palmer is two years younger than Tom Brady.

I don't care if the team drafts a QB or not but I just don't see it happening on the first day.or the second really...if they do I will trust they know what they are doing, but IMO we will have Palmer three or four more seasons.

Personally,...I would prefer we maneuver this draft, and maybe on off season Fitz trade, gather picks,...then make a play for #1 next draft and take a shot on Jamieus Winston....dude looks pretty good.

I would add this question to board . How many knew that Tony Romo , he of the recent huge contract ( 55 mil. guaranteed ) is 4 months younger than Palmer . Leave Carr out of it , I would be shocked if the Cardinals take " A-N-Y " QB with the 20'th pick . There is no doubt in my mind , MB - SK and BA have their eye on the Prize (I declare that it's doable) and they will take a player that can contribute right now with that 20'th pick .

Warner took us to the SB at age 37 & retired at 38. Palmer is 34, so maybe 3-4 more decent years from him can be expected, yes? With the hopes of building a solid OL, don't think 4 more good years from Palmer is far fetched...

There will be too many players who will grade out at either #1 or #2 at their postions by the time we pick at #20. Going into next season, I'd rather have the Cards use that draft tactic as compared to getting a developmental QB (who was passed over by several QB-needy teams). Rather draft a S, DE/DT, OL, or even a TE over that project QB.

Drew Stanton has been groomed in the current system and sholud be able to step in should Palmer falter/injured.

Have to believe that Cards are operating on a WIN THIS YEAR mode and a developmental QB will end up holding the clipboard and not getting on the field.
