Just a question... I love KLL, he's a great moderator, but on the Suns board? He NEVER posts here. No offense to him, but I can definitely understand Chris being a moderator of a Suns board, but wouldn't it make sense for someone who actually posts here to be a moderator?

That's a good point, but at the same time, sometimes we're just watching for people cussing at each other, trolling, calling people names, etc.

You don't need to post here to do that, AND it's always good to have extra eyes keeping track of things when Chris or Joe Mama can't be here...

I had attempted to post a lengthy message earlier in this forum, but the terminal I was posting from always aborts whatever I type before it appears....

I knew someone might pose that as an argument against me becoming a moderator of this forum....

First, I am a very diehard Suns fan who may not post much, however, I have been lurking through this forum on a consistent basis for the past 3-years and have posted on quite a few occasions, but I admit that my posting activity has dropped-off considerably over the past few months in general.....

However, despite my lack of posting (which I plan on contributing this foirum more than I have in the past), I have a firm grasp of each and every poster on here.... I know of everyone's attributes, I can definitely distinguish from those who troll... Or just beyond those two areas.. I apologize if I'm sounding rather incoherent while I type this, but it was a long day for me and I'm extremely winded at the moment......

At any rate...... I've been a fan of the NBA for more than 20 years... I did grow-up in the Detroit suburbs rooting for the Pistons, however, I always followed the entire NBA and actually did pay a considerable amount of attention toward the Suns in the late 80s and early 90s...... Then, w/in a year of moving out here ('02) I switched all my allegiances to the Phoenix Suns and have followed them at length..........

I have moderated the three other AZ/Phoenix professional sports team forums on here because I love all the 4 teams with extreme passion and am rather knowledgeable about them.....

I am not here to overstep Joe Mama and SweetD whatsoever... Botu have been outstanding moderators on here and will continue to do so...... My main stance is that....Opposing fans are welcomed on here, however, obviously I condemn those who do nothing but try to incite others by resorting to derogatory/inflammatory attacks..... Then.. those will be dealt with accordingly.... My advise is for others to ignore their antics and allow for us moderators to seek proper punishment without any of you jeopardizing your standings on the board either...... I commend someone like LakeShowMan because he's a fan of our one of bitter rivals, but he posts with such tact and understanding... He never tries to rally everyone against each other....

I have nothing but respect for my fellow Arizona Cardinals bretheren who so happen to be Laker fans, but definitely do object to some of the tone they opted to use on here.... I know most was out of sheer excitement.. emotion... some contained themselves... whereas unfortunatey some did not.... I just want to ask those who happen to root for the Lakers and are die-hard Cardinals fanatics (such as myself).... How do you feel when 49ers, Rams, Seahawks, Raiders, Cowboys, Patriots..etc fans come onto the Cardinals forum and begin to troll? I know everyone of those take offense and become very livid, so from that perspectivr you must understand how us Suns fans feel at the moment.. We're entitled for the bitterment at this time.... such as you're entitled to whatever emotions you may have, but it's inane to come on here and smear and try to compound the hurt that us Suns fans are feeling.... That's very inexcusable.....

This forum has a lot going for it.... I really appreciate the dedication of Amare32 for his contributions with maintaining the Suns Predictions Game contest and also for the game threads that he has done, for George O'Brien and his articles with his interesting use of stats, to those who follow the collegiate and international game.. and for the rest of the resourceful and very astute posters on here....... I applaud each and every one of you...

The essence is... I am familiar with the regular posters in this forum (not in person obviously, but by reading you intently for the past 3-years on a regular basis), that I am a die-hard Suns fan, that Im an experienced moderator, and can distinguish quickly between those who belong or dont belong here whatsoever and I'm the type who isnt hesistant to take immediate action whenever it is warranted.......

Again.. I know I have been behind the scenes in this forum for the most part, but it's not like I'm oblivious to everything either..... Also.. if you like.. feel free to search some of my posts in this forum....

Sorry for this long "soliloquy", but I found myself in the position to have to justify myself and as always I went into ample detail.... Thanks for reading....

Again, I'm sorry I haven't been around much this year. Even when I was reading every post I tried to be as hands-off as possible because I really don't like over moderated message boards. This season there have been long periods of time or I haven't even made it over to the board.

I'm not sure there's any reason to remove me as a moderator, but at this point it's really just a title.

I'm sure the new guys will do a good job. Congrats again.

I must clarify.... Neither myself or Chris_Sanders was assigned the role as moderators on this forum to replace you (which isnt possible whatsoever since you've always been a huge asset to this forum and the rest of the message board), but to provide much needed back-up especially since traffic/posting on this forum has escalated considerably for over this past year......

I vow personally not to over-moderate either, but will use my extreme impartial judgment whenever it is necessary to seek action.... Of course none of us can monitor this forum on a 24-hour basis individually, but possibly can collectively.....

I really do look forward to helping you, SweetD, and everyone else out.. should be very enjoyable......

Yeah Joe, no one is replacing you, it's just some reinforcements to help out when one of you can't be around all the time.

Every forum on here should have 3 moderators if it's busy enough to warrant it anyways...

I understood that Chris and KLL would not be replacing me. I was just saying that I haven't done any moderating in a long while, and I honestly don't plan on doing much in the near future even know on visiting more often. it wouldn't hurt my feelings if I wasn't a moderator anymore.

Because a person doesn't post doesn't mean they don't read or watch sports and know what's going on. Sometimes, being a regular poster can cloud your objectivity because of your personal. love hate and opinions of things.
