Damn, with all of this crap coming out, we can't even keep Veronica Mars on the air?

See, even if you aren't funny, I love you for this post.

My wife does too.

It sucks that Veronica isn't coming back, but it wasn't making ANY MONEY. That's the reason why they pulled it. As a matter of fact, the head of The CW actually did want to bring it back, but was overruled by their partner, CBS.

Even the worst show on ABC, CBS or NBC will get more viewers than Veronica did. You just can't keep a show on the air like that for very long. It's impossible. There are MASSIVE amounts of money going into these shows--I mean, you guys have seen the show, you've seen how good the production value is.

A show may be the greatest thing ever, but if it doesn't get the ratings, that means nobody is watching it. If nobody watches it, then advertisers won't pay for time. And if nobody pays for ad time, then the show cannot support itself--it wasn't budgeted by the Network--the CW doesn't actually pay for the production of the show, the advertisers do.

there's NO doubt in my mind that this show will go down as the WORST SITCOM EVER CREATED. Mescaline, five cases of whip-its and a bottle of glenfidich couldn't make a smile crack my face watching these two no talent monkey-feces.

I was thinking the same thing, although not quite as colorfully.

I hear ya. I have no doubt that it would help. What shows has VM been opposite against? I don't keep up with that stuff, but I remember that there were some heavyweights.

Eventhough we are getting 3 seasons of VM, it still seems like we are getting ripped off, a la Firefly and Freaks & Geeks.

Oh man, Alzheimer's is hilarious. Fun for the whole family. I can't wait for the episode where the leave grampa in the mall and tell him to find his way home. What a hoot, and so touching when grampa "comes to" in the middle of Dillard's and saves two poor girls from paying retail on name-brand merchandise.

You know what else they should make a comedy about? The Korean War.

Oh, wait ...

Kind of what I was thinking. Granted, I think the whole politically-correct turn the world has taken has gone to a MASSIVE extreme and people need to be less sensitive, but I just don't see Alzheimer's as funny.

Sorry guys, I made those up. With the crap on TV though, you'd think they were real.

Wow, what a steaming pile. Reaper? Hello, Showtime made this already...Dead Like Me, anyone? We're so unoriginal now that we have to copy having people play grim reapers? Ugh.

It's completely different from Dead Like Me. Kevin Smith produces it and directed the pilot.

The Terminator show sounds good as long as the Sarah and John characters aren't annoying

I did the ratings. Normally I'm not into cop shows (The Shield being the exception), but just based on the description they could be good. There are other shows for which I can't envision any set of circumstances where I would enjoy watching them. BTW New Amsterdam is a cop show (albeit with a supernatural aspect) and I gave it a thumbs down.

Different angle, same basic story line. The kid has to reap souls with a misfit group. Samey-samey. I dig Kevin Smith's work, but he could just as easily done something orignial instead. And don't say there aren't any more original stories, because there certainly are.
