I will be watching this simply because it has Vorenus in it (from Rome). Plus it has a quantum leap vibe and I loved that show.

I fully expect it to suck, though, but I hope it doesn't.

Meh, Journeyman just has too much of a slop opera (soap opera) vibe. One of the main selling points is that he meets his old fiance in the past, and it causes problems with his wife in the future. That screams slop opera.

I'll probably give it a shot only for the fact that I like any kind of time-travel story. If it's too sappy it will lose me.

I hear ya. I have no doubt that it would help. What shows has VM been opposite against? I don't keep up with that stuff, but I remember that there were some heavyweights.

Eventhough we are getting 3 seasons of VM, it still seems like we are getting ripped off, a la Firefly and Freaks & Geeks.

damnit, now i'm mad all over again.

go see king of kong

Just watched the pilot for Journeyman. It was by far the best pilot I've seen this season. It didn't really have a soap opery feel to it. It was a lot like Quantum Leap but edgier (edgier isn't the right word but the best I could think of).

Just watched the pilot for Life. It was didn't blow me away, but was definitely intriguing. Key aspect to the show for me is going to be him finding out who set him up.

Awesome...another show for me to watch.

Did you ever see the episode where Bakula's character finally goes back to his family as a teenager and he plays Imagine for his sister on the porch? And everyone freaks out like he just sang his allegiance to Satan and planned on burning some churches down?

Episodes like that made me go looking for something else as a lead-in show to watch before Unsolved Mysteries (which never had a bad episode!)

I don't remember that one. I watched it when it was on originally, and then on reruns a few years ago.

I just know that like many shows, quantum leap started going bad when they focus too much on stories of the central characters instead of keeping with all of the great stand-alone episodes.

Just rented the NBC fall preview disc from Blockbuster.... It is free and I recommend everyone go check it out.

Journeyman's pilot was great. It moved well and had a very good ending to the first show. I cant wait to see what happens next. One problem I have is the whole Quantum Leap vibe. It did feel edgier, but even one of the characters used the term "Lept" (sp?). Hopefully they will try to distance themselves a little more going forward.

Life's pilot was good. I was intrigued to watch D. Lewis on TV and I will keep watching. It was an "OK" pilot, and I would agree that finding out who set him up will be very intriguing. I like the chemistry between Lewis and his partner, and look forward to see where it all goes.

Chuck's pilot was pretty funny. The story seems very original and setting him up as the supervisor for the "Nerd Herd" at the TV version of Best Buy was pretty funny. I think this show was written very well and will be pretty funny. It's not "How I met your Mother" but it is pretty good. Chuck's goy a hilarious friend and a HOT(!!!) leading lady.

The 2 minute bionic woman preview was good also. Not much to say about 2 minutes though.

I turned it off about halfway through. I was just waiting for the main character to ask "Why am I still here, Al?". Is it really too much to ask to have a new show with even an ounce of originality in it? I want to see something I haven't seen before. But I guess that would be too risky for network television.

I saw Journeyman on the plane out to Chicago and just thought it was awful. Incredibly cliche.
