The new Cardinals stadium has a naming rights deal with a title sponsor, according to reliable sources.

Make a guess from the list.

One of them is correct.

Bashas? A local business -- no benefit from the national pub

Southwest Airlines? I am guessing no because it runs counter to their "no frills" image

Toyota? Dont know

USAA? that was my guess. Financial services firms generally have money to burn, and this group could probably use some better name recognition.

USAA is trying to make a big presence in the valley for the last 5 years or so. So I think it is them.

Plus they are a national firm were as Bashas is not.

I hope it's the USAA Center.

Just cuz it would be fun to have a USAC and a USAAC.

I agree with the others - I'll bet it'll be:

Southwest Airlines Stadium.

I like it.

(as much as you can like corporate naming-rights of sports facilities)

Although then again it could be Toyota. Super bowl in 2008 with your name on the stadium would be a huge marketing strategy for them.

Since I have had all my insurance with USAA since 1954 I am all for them. They are perhaps the top rated insurance company in the USA for many years. They of course have expanded into banking and membership has been limited to Military Officers and their families world wide. I am assuming that the USAA mentioned here stands for United Services Automobile Association. They are a non profit service with members receiving back any profits made from the many services they offer.

My only question of that scenario, is that Toyota already has the naming rights to the Toyota Center in Houston (the site of the most recent NBA All-Star Game)...not sure if they would do two of them, although American Airlines DOES have two major naming-rights deals: the AmericanAirlines Arena in Miami, and the American Airlines Center in Dallas.

USAA is a military affiliated Insurance and Financial services company. For service members they are an AWESOME one stop shop for banking, car/home/life insurance, car buying, home buying and investing.

I thought you had to be active duty or retired to deal with them though?

I voted USAA, but after some thought, I think Southwest makes the most logical sense.

It's an insurance company. They started out primarily offering auto-home policies to military/retired military personnel.

i think it's much broader than that. i think if you, or ANY FAMILY member was ever in the armed forces you can use usaa.

Itll probably be Southwest, but I voted for Bashas, just because I think that would be cool. But it would be a big waste of money for them.

No, your family including children can still use their services after you have retired. My daughter has insurance with them. I opened my first bank account with them in 1954 when I was commissioned a 2nd Lt. They were not very big in those days. Many retired and active duty officers nationwide still use their banking services even in Afgan or Iraq.
