He's here because he'll do a great job, and also be a guy that reads most of the posts and is one of you all. This will help him do a good job since he'll know the board, know you guys and know who really is causing a problem or not.

Yes, no one has been taken away, but the more eyes and ears, the better we all are.

And I mean ALL of us, even other mods. It helps to have people here who know what's going on and don't have knee-jerk reactions to things and just ban people when in reality, it wasn't that big a deal.

First, the term "mod" is confusing to me because it brings to mind this old image from my high schools days.

I'm happy to help, particularly because I'm fond of the folks that put this board up and allow me to avoid work on a daily basis for free. I'm an easy guy to get along with, I'm really patient, and I give everyone the benefit of the doubt. I really don't have an itchy trigger finger, but I can be a bit surly if you violate my broad sense of civility. Don't drag your knuckles across the floor and we'll probably never have an issue.

Suns fan since ~ 1975, Internet geek posting on message boards ~ 1994. I've never been anyone but Gaddabout the whole time. You can even ask TucsonDevil, who has watched me second-guess coaches on many ASU boards for about a decade now.
