I don't know if any of you caught the new Code of Conduct attached to the Cardinals news yesterday, but there are some new tailgating rules.

In particular they apply to the Great Lawn area and the Cards are stating that you can only have one 10'x10' tent per group (what defines a group) and you can't block off any area. Further, it states you can't tailgate after the game.

Thanks, Cardinals, for ruining a good thing.

Speed loading the parking lot. Hopefully guys won't be too strict about this.

Wow, looks like they have put the ixnay on "drinking games" too. Guess I won't be investing in a new beer pong table this season.

This is the one that chaffs me also...

There are times when I see a good spot nearby, while the attendants are telling me to go in another direction. I understand why, but it still bugs the crap out of me! :pullhair:

I didn't catch the drinking games on the first read, but that stinks too. I also noticed that you can no longer put your generator on the other side of the sidewalks.

I don't know how they can possibly police all of this.

Ironically, it was Mid First Bank that was running around the Great Lawn and handing out Tailgater of the Game to the largest group who had the biggest display. Over the season, the groups got larger and so did the displays.

Now, these rules are specifically prohibiting what the Mid First and the Cardinals were promoting last season. Maybe they should schedule a meeting on Hardy and they can figure out what exactly they want on the lawn and in the parking lots.

On the other hand, have they ever really enforced anything at all? I have seen glass bottles EVERYWHERE and that has always been against the rules.

Oil fryers? We bring one every year for the game around Thanksgiving. Not only did they not enforce it, but they gave us a prize last year.

Its a tradition that I am going to keep doing anyway.

So has tailgating after the game but they let you hang for most of the hour.

The parking deal is nuts. why in hell would I want to park in the south side of the orange lot when I can park on the north side 50 feet from Derm's tailgate and close to the W club level entrance?

As early as we get to the stadium both lots are empty but for some reason the SA likes to fill up the south side first. I guess they get some perverse enjoyment out of making people walk as far as possible.

I guess I'll just start bringing an extra $20 bill to the games to bribe the parking folks.

I belive they have had the same tent rule since day one.Good luck inforcing that one & why the hell would it matter? The more tents closer together the more free space thats left.

Well the parking Nazis are are exercising their new found power.

I kid you not this is exactly what happened to us.

Get into the lot where there were directing cars down a parking aisle. Nazi comes up, stands in front of the car and points at me and he wasn't even a tiny bit polite.

The then starts indicating with his finger I should follow him and I mean literally. He walked in front of may car and with his finger kept indicating I MUST follow him.

He lead us [literally] down another alise and again pointed to a specific spot I had to park in. He clearly wanted to be sure a vacant spot was filled.

It wouldn't have been quite so annoying if he had made any pretense of politeness. This was far more aggressive than any Cop directing traffic I have come across, clearly he was on a power trip.

Who was bringing private caterers into their tailgate? That's about as lazy as it gets.... do they open your beer for you too?

They don't enforce any of this, my wife and I were friendly with one of the event staff people and we always brought glass bottles in... they never said anything. In fact, one of the guys had a hot dog off our charcoal grill. Until somebody does something really stupid, none of this gets enforced

We definitely drove straight through the middle of the grass in F to see what they would do. They pointed us to an EXACT spot, and we parked there. After that, we did not see a single guard or parking attendant anywhere nearby.

On the way out, we tried to high tail it through the oversized area, only to have a girl RUN to the gate and close it, so we had to leave through the ONE exit they had open from F.

Kind of a joke to be honest.

Parking guys around us were cool. I think this is going to be hit or miss. It will just embolden those with an axe to grind but the majority will be nice.

I never park where those guys tell me to. I wave and grin at them like I'm fricking Pluto in a Disney parade and then start driving back to where I want to park.

i love it when people who don't even have a GED tell me what to do to feel good about themselves! Sounds like parking and tailgating is gonna be super fun this year!

The first game vs. SF should be interesting. It seems the parking staff trys to be strict at the beginning of the season and slacks off as the season goes along.

I do hate "fire lane" excuse. It really limits tailgating space. I have been to games in other cities and their is not "fire lane" rule.

Trust me, if a fire truck, police car, or ambulance needs to get thru, we will be well out of his way before he gets there.

Who runs the parking lots? Is it the city of Glendale or the TSA? These decisions sound like a bean counter decided they needed to save on salaries. Both Glendale and the TSA were in the red last year.
