I brought this trivia question up in the training camp battles thread and was so intrigued I had to research it.

Here are the guys I could find that started opposite Aeneas Williams at CB in Arizona:

Lorenzo Lynch
Robert Massey
James Williams
Lance Brown
Patrick Hunter
Tito Paul
Ron Bradford
Tom Knight
Ty Howard
J.B. Brown

It was just after J.B. Brown started that AW left for St.Louis.

If you know of anyone else please post it.

Is there someone named Taylor?

Yes. Jay Taylor. Started one game in 1991 Aeneas' rookie season. He was the Cards starting LCB in 1990. He went on to suck for two more seasons with the Chiefs before being done for good after the 1994 season. I apologize to him and his family for excluding him.

Oh, and by the way, the 1990 Cardinals finished.............. 5-11. :p

Of course this brings up the question as to who suffered the worst. Aeneas with all those clowns in the defensive backfield with him or Fitz who has had to suffer the worst assortment of QBs over a 3 year period in NFL history.

Aeneas suffered worst IMO.. Not only did he have clowns on defense he had plenty of them on the offensive Side as well.. (Kwame Lassiter was a baller tho)

At least Fitz got to a SB.. Williams barely sniffed playoffs with us, I was young but I remember almost crying when he left, he was my favorite cardinal and still the greatest defender we have ever had IMO.. He deserved to be on a winning team tho so im glad he got that.opportunity

Sad thing is same thing might happen with Fitz if he don't get that ring soon:(

Duck, the crazy thing about this thread is that the Cards have never had that second quality CB with Aeneas, Wehrli or PP21. :bang::bang::bang:

We could've had the best duo in the NFL back in the 70s, but someone had this brilliant idea to trade Pat Fischer to the Skins. :( Wow that kid was good & how he's not in the HOF is beyond me! And they didn't stop there...they traded them Dave Butz after that! The Cards could've been champs in the late 60s or 70s if not for just being dumb! Stupid Cardinals :mulli:

When did McCrapister come to the Cards from the Ravens?

Are you talking about Chris McAlister? Probably not because Chris McAlister never played for the Cards.

:I think that you mean Duane Starks. Good call.:

Section 11 is right, Toastito Paul was the worst of this group.

I don't think a single pass wasn't completed to Paul's man.

If Tito Paul did nothing but watch porn and eat Cheetos all day he would go to his doctor wondering why his thigh is orange.

AW's int totals probably suffered the most, because I'm guessing that teams threw to the other side of the field, away from AW.

Who knows what lurks in the minds of Cardinals fans.

I can recall almost the entire starting offensive line from the 1960's. It's an addiction.
