Anybody browse the web to find the latest in what the SUNS are gonna do?

Or perhaps u are Kerr's best friend and you'd like to share something with everyone here?

I'd like to know what the status of the Suns is in terms of a supposed new big (Skinner, PJBrown, Ruffin, etc.) and/or the 8 million trade allowance in which I assume they won't use.....

What's the word on the street fellas?

Long time reader (since 2000), first time poster. I've actually gained some insider info on the Suns next plans. They are actually planning ahead towards next year's draft already

We've gone through a bit of speculation in the midst of all the "we hate Sarver" rants, but other than PJ Brown nothing much is being discussed much less rumored.

So far PJ Brown seems to be unwilling to come to Phoenix, although we don't know the reason. It could be:

1. He really does want to retire.
2. He wants to go to Florida (both Orlando and Miam are interested)
3. He wants more money than the Suns are offering.
4. He wants to go somewhere he can play before next June.
5. He just hates purple (OK, I made that up)

PJ's agent is the same as Kerr's, but that does not appear to be helping. Still, he may just be angling for a better offer. Time will tell.

As for the rest, there is nobody else the Suns have even mentioned. They actually worked out Mihm, but he re-signed with the Lakers first. Some other guys who have been discussed are:

http://www.arizonasportsfans.com/vb/showthread.php?t=93636

PJ Brown
Melvin Ely
Josh Powell
Alexander Johnson
Lawrence Roberts
James Singleton
Brian Skinner
Michael Ruffin
Otis George
Pape Sow

Another list

FREE AGENTS
Mike Sweetney (Big Big BIG, but even slower)
PJ Brown (Pipe Dream, but maybe he wants a title)
Malike Allen ( OLD, OLD, OLD, but Big)
Scot Pollard (Cheep, and creapy)
Jamal Sampson (Young and a good Def, but no scoring at all)
Zark Cabarkapa (Not sure we would want him back when he cryed his way out of Phoenix)
Kelvin Cato (Does he have anything left in the tank?)

I'm inclined to think a trade for a below $3 million a year guy is priority.

OK, now you have to tell me where you got this. I know a Young man who might like to refer to this in his next column.

It was posted a couple days ago, after the KT trade. In fact, someone sent it to TrueHoop, who linked it in their daily bullets (i think today), and claims it was actually on eBay for a while then got taken down. I assumed it was a photoshop job.

The Suns next REAL move?

Kerr will babysit Sarver's kids next weekend...
...then wash his car on Sunday...pick up his dry cleaning on Monday...
...and then give him a reach around on Tuesday.

All will benefit Sarver...none will help the Suns chances of getting a ring (but Sarver will probably buy Kerr a diamond tongue ring if he continues to add to Sarver's bottom line).

1. Less interior defense due to the loss of KT
2. Less future development due to the trading of all of the future draft picks.
3. Less 3 point shooters than the last 3 years.
4. Sarver avoiding the luxury tax this year...Kerr gets a bonus...the fans get another year of "almost getting there".

Over at HoopsHype - they are hyping about AUSTIN CROSHERE.

Personally, I'd love to see him here. He is a poor man's Tim Thomas.

Bring him off the bench and use him as a taller James Jones to nail 3 pointers and use 6 fouls against a Yao, Tim, or Oden.

He is 6-10 and can nail the three. I don't see any reason he hurts the offense. I am all for CROSHERE.

Anyone?

Lol, it was not on ebay, I just modified a page of some actual item and took a screenshot.

I uploaded a larger version:

Did you send it to truehoop? They worded it like it was up then taken down by ebay

I knew it had to be fake. The date was way old and the screen name seemed too perfect :p

I'll post Kerr on Ebay...

...all I'd ask in return is to get some of the draft picks back that Kerr gave away.

Well, MAVS just signed Brandon Bass away from the Hornets; a 2-year deal.

Apparently Cuban is super big on this guy and they loved what he did in the Summer League (15 pts, 6 reb).

Could be a rotation guy off the bench as the 2nd big man behind bench center Diop.

--------------------------

Why is this of any issue? Because this adds another player Amare has to deal with - including the other hundred big men of the West that he will probably have to face in the playoffs: Duncan, Dirk, Scola, Yao, Dampier, Diop, Horry, Bass, Bonner, Elson, Oberto, Mutombo, etc....

Bass was somebody I mentioned here (I think here) and it seems like the available big bodies are dwindling down every day.

Are Suns crossing their fingers for PJ Brown or what? I say sign Brian Skinner before it is too late cause PJ doesn't wanna be here.

And I cannot possibly imagine Suns going with an Amare/Matrix/Diaw big man rotation. They'd get clobbered. They need, at least, two more bigs.

Both Croshere and Skinner get my vote.

Croshere is awful, but Skinner could be marginally useful if the Suns were able to afford him and D'Antoni was willing to use him. I wouldn't count on it.
